How do I remove the front cover

I need to clean the coils on my LG LP1311BXR . I've removed the screws but I'm unable to remove the front cover. I do not want to break it by pulling too hard, but I can't seem to remove the cover so that I can clean the coils. The unit smells very moldy when I turn it on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: Window AC - foul smell

if the unit is cleaned and this smell is only when the condenser is on means the fresh air is open and this smell comes from outside . because the condenser fan is sucking air from condenser through it to motor side .

SOURCE: I am trying to clean my coil to possibly help

After you remove the two screws, you just have to pull up on the front panel (gently). Use the vent slots for finger holds. I just did it 10 minutes ago.

SOURCE: How to get rid moldy smell in LG Front loader washmachine?

There are several cleaners for front loading washers on the market, such as affresh, washer magic, smellywasher cleaner, whirlaway hot tub cleaner, and tide washer cleaner. Clean out the filter located behind the access door at the lower left front of the machine, then, if your model has a tub clean setting, use that with one of those cleaners, if not, use one of those cleaners with the longest, hottest cycle. If things were very bad, you may have to clean it twice. Now, after it is cleaned out,.....STOP USING SO MUCH SOAP ! Use only one tablespoon of HE laudry detergent per cycle, and only one teaspoon of fabric softener if you use that. (Note: Bath towels, used only to wipe off clean bodies, then tossed into the laundry are not dirty enough to require soap usage, and should never have softener used on them) The odors in your washer are caused by a build up of soap and fabric softeners on the inside of the washer's drum. Also, you may have a build up of soap or fabric softener on your clothes. Wash them again once with no soap or fab softener to rinse them out.

I am trying to replace the bobbin winder on my 660 Janome jem gold but can't open the front cover. Can you help me?

Hello,
There is a screw that is pretty hard to get to. I suggest using a Philips screwdriver that is magnetized. When you remove the large wheel on the right side of the cover, look inside and where you removed the wheel from. There is one last screw there which has to be removed.
Best wishes!
Sincerely,
MPKramer

How do I remove the top of whirlpool awoe 9140 front loader washing machine?

there are 2 or 3 screws behind the top cover, but this wont get you to where the odor exists, its in between the inner and outer drum, you need to also remove the front cover including the door then remove the inner drum pulley and belt and then split the outer tub to clean out old detergent and fabric softener if you use this as this is where the smell is coming from

How can i remove front cover to clean the coil unit

I'm assuming you mean to clean the evaporator coil. Some of these covers are hard to remove. Sometimes you have to disconnect the condensate drain and you may even have to cut some of the sheetmetal away from the cover. Other times, it comes apart in two pieces. There generally about 6 or 8 screws holding the front cover on. I hope this helps but here is a good website you may be able to go to for more info or just send me a note if you have any questions. www.familyhandyman.com

I have a 29 cc craftsman line trimmer. I need to replace all the plastic housings, but to do that the centrifugal clutch needs to be removed from the output shaft of the motor. It looks like a press fit,...

It is not pressed. It is threaded (right hand threads). Here is an easy way to do it.
Remove the tube that holds the flex-drive shaft from the front of the motor cover.Remove the rear engine cover. Remove the throttle cable from the carburetor. Mark and unplug any wires for the on/off switch that go to the ignition coil (underneath front cover) if possible. Now if you have pulled the driveshaft tube out of the way, the clutch drum is up next. Inside it, screwed into the very end of the engine's crankshaft is a Torx #25 screw. Before you loosen it, you will have to lock up the engine. To do so, remove the spark plug. Pull on the starter until the piston is down, then insert a length of clean, soft rope into the engine. The engine will come up and compress the rope, thus locking it in place to allow clutch drum and clutch removal. Loosen the T-25 (Star bit or Torx head) screw inside the drum.. You may be able to remove it with a long thin-blade screwdriver also.It probably won't come completely out...it is made this way. Next, remove the clutch. It is screwed onto a small threaded section of the crankshaft Removal is counterclockwise.. It will be pretty tight. To help, apply peneterating oil. Whack the ears of the clutch near the center with a hammer and a dull flat-blade chisel or a small piece of wood unless there are bolts. then use a wrench. It will turn counterclockwise for removal and there will probably be a removal direction arrow on it's face. After getting that off, remove the Torx screws holding the cover to the engine

When i start the Bosch WTE84107GB/02 is showing filter.

Having spent two nights trying to resolve the same issue with ours and having searched the internet for help. I would check the following,

Check lower filter and ensure its all clear.

Remove the back of the machine, the pear shaped steel cover part, held on by 10-12 torx/star bolts. Once removed you should see two sensor, one has a red reset button, press the centre and if it clicks you've reset it. Now you could be lucky and just refit the back and it will work o.k but the likelyhood from my experience is that the senors tripped out due to an overheating situation occuring. If it trips out after the reset, remove the cover again, the two sensors are mounted in what is the heater element. I removed this unit but to allow access you need to remove the lower steel duct below the heater element unit, held on my 4 torx/star bolts. Once the ducts removed you can remove the two torx/star bolts that hold the heater unit in position. Once the heater unit is removed, blow out any dust and dirt from the heater coils. With the heater unit removed you can see both the sensors from inside the heater element housing and both mine were caked in dirt so i cleaned the surfaces with a soft cloth and a drop of WD40 (not to much just enough to remove the dirt).

The next part of the machine i'd check is the air intake side. There's a grill area and the right lower side of the dryer to the right of the lower filter housing. Now you can probably remove this grill by resting the machine on it's side and releasing the clips from the underside of the machine but I took off the right hand side panel of the machine, you'll need to remove the top (two screws at the back of the machine slide back and lift off), then you need to remove the control panel, remove the water tank, and then remove the two screws on the left side, on the right side and on the right had side of the control panel, there's one screw, remove this and pully forward gently. You can then access the right side panel forward screws x 2, remove the rear screws, top screws and there one on the underside in the middle. The side panel pulls away backwards away for the front of the machine as it has three locating pegs at the front. Once the panels removed you'll no dout find the area around the motor and drive belt is covered in fluff, just hoover out. with the side panel remove you'll notice the motor unit drives two fans, one you'd have seen when you removed the rear cover and on my machine that was all clear, but the other fan is towards the front of the machine and is covered by a semi circular white plastic cover, which has 4 release clips on the outer egde and one at the rear towards the middle at the motor end and one at the front close to the middle and you won't get you hand into this, you need to release the clip form the underside of base of the machine.Once all clips are removed you can remove the cover, but it's a tight fit but it does come out. Once removed you'll see the fan unit, it's like a hamster wheel and on my machine this was fully choked up with fluff in the middle and in between the fan blades and this is what was stopping air circulation and hence why the machine overheated and cut out. You can hoover out the fan and in the intake system and refit in reverse order, making sure you get the screws back in the right order.

Whilst you have the machine half apart, Once you've refitted the right hand side panel and before you refit the front control panel i'd remove the left hand panel, hoover out. At the bottom left side you'll see the pump unit. There's two pipes going to it, remove the cover retaining screws and remove the cover. Remove both pipes and the two electrical sensors (ones pump and ones the float level senor) Once removed, clean the float sensor and pump you can remove the end cover off the pump and you can also remove the float from the cylinder housing ), remove the filter unit/heat exchanger and clean any sludge etc from inside the pump sump area. Refit

We found that on completion of this the machine was a lot more efficient and made less noise and it's nearly 11 years old so it owes us nothing !!

How do I clean coils?

It is very important to clean condenser coils on forced-air refrigerators such as side-by-side and built-in models at least twice a year (if you have a refrigerator with the black coils mounted on the back, these coils don't require semi-annual cleaning). Here's how to do it: 1) Pull the refrigerator away from the wall and unplug it or, if it's a built-in model, turn off its circuit breaker. 2) Remove the cover panel to reveal the coils. On most models, the kick plate or top trim plate simply lifts off. You may have to remove a few screws to remove a back cover. 3) With a long, narrow nozzle on your vacuum, clean out all of the dust and debris (at an appliance parts store, you can also buy a special, long-handled brush that looks somewhat like a bottle brush for this job). 4) Replace the cover, and then plug the electrical cord back in or turn the circuit back on.
