Lost manual instruction booklet / before learned basic setting

Hi!happy 2009 to you...
i am a proud owner of a neat ViewSonic VA712b, 17 in. black flat monitor.

Where can i get access to  a PdF or HTML documentation regarding the settings and maintenance of this fine piece of technology, pray teLL ?
§ince in my usual clumsiness {or momentaneous fit of frenzy?} i probably threw it away in the recycling bin along with old newspapers or the like...

Thanks for your time , respectfully yours.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My Viewsonic VA712B monitor is getting power, but no image. and also once power is plugged in it makes a low frequency noise almost like white noise. any ideas why im gettin no image?

You are not geting the image may be due to bad backlights inverter circuits, check the fuse in the inverter circuits.
Are you hearing the noise from the AC adapter or from inside the monitor?

Hi there, the problem that I am experiencing with my VA712B is also a BLACK SCREEN. I turn on the computer and the picture appears fine for about ONE SECOND, then turns black and I am unable to see...

It does the same on another PC?
More likely to be caps failure in the power supply section just like the VA912 (19" version) and the rest of Viewsonic as hswon in my albums.

If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed SAMSUNG monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Viewsonic VA712b lost Power Supply need voltage & current

davsmith00, Did you look on rear of VA712B where the power plug enters the power JACK connector? Maybe it will only tell you who is positive and who is negative (gnd) some monitors state what is the required V & I for them on the rear labels somewhere. This will teach you not to lose your supply. Did the dog hide it under the bed? Good luck finding a replacement. There are sources on web that specialize in drop-in replacement IN-LINE switch-mode-power-supply Bricks. You can also try newark.com and mouser.com and digikey.com to see if they have something. I'm louie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel@ aim.com Bye for now.
