Connecting a printer on a microsoft network to a mac
I need to print from my macbook to an epson on a mocrosoft network, but it isn't working. I type in the printer code in my laptop, but it dosn't find the printer. i tried lots of other things but the aptop can never seem to find the printer. If i connect myself to the printer with a cable will it cause problems to all the other users connected to the printer wireless? Is there a way that i can connect to the printer wireless, that will easily work?

I am not sure of the Mac but in the windows we go to the control panel and further go to Printers and Faxes and right click on the printer in question and click on Work Online. That's it. If you can find similar thing in Mac, good for you. Best Of Luck!!!
I hada the same problem. I used the settings on the actual printer rather than through the software to input the information it needed and It works fine now. I was able to set it up on my husbands laptop without any problems, I just added his laptop through installing the software on his laptops as it had picked up the signal and was showing in the Network and sharing centre on Windows Vista premium. Hope this helps. I think you need to take the wire out now and now load it as wireless. You need to use the wire first to connect then take it out to connect to the wirelss network. My router is a Sky router.
