Diagram spark plug wiring

my guess, is you removed them and didnt mark them?
the firing order?
what engine, there are 5.

to do this , one need to know 5 things.
2.5L, 2.8L, 4.0L and 5.2/5.9L engine displacements.
the distributor rotation direction CCW, or CW
and last the firing order, sometimes marked clearly on the intake manifold.
you must now where #1 cylinder is (always most front)
1989-98 2.5L Engine firing order: 1-3-4-2 Distributor rotation: Clockwise
2.8L Engine firing order: 1-2-3-4-5-6 Distributor rotation: Clockwise
4.0L Engine firing order: 1-5-3-6-2-4 Distributor rotation: Clockwise
5.2L and 5.9L Engine firing order: 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 Distributor rotation: Clockwise
on a v6/v8 one cylinder is more forward. this is #1, look carefully.

How do i start to rebuild my 1996 dodge engine 5.2 liter

First thing is to tear it down and make sure you mark what pistons went in what cylinders. Then you will need to take precise measurments of the cylinders, looking for "out of round' and taper. This involves the use of micrometers. If the cylinders are within wear limits then you can just install new rings and hone the cylinder walls. If they are not then the block and all the pistons need to go to the machine shop for "boring out" the cylinders and pressing on new pistons. The crankshaft will also need to be measured at the bearing surfaces. If they are within wear limits then the crank can be polished and reused, if not then it has to be replaced. All cylinder head work needs to be done by a machine shop.

After all the measurments have been taken, the right size rings, and bearings can be ordered. Rebuilding an engine is not a task that should be done by a novice.

Make sure you are on the compresstion stroke on # 1 cylinder its on the left side of the engine when the pistion is at the top of its stroke bolth valves on # 1 will be closed and won't open when the pistion is moveing up. Then look for the marks on the timing gears the cam faces down and the crank faces up they have to meat right on the money perfectly alinged and you should have now problems with timing issues

I have a 1999 Dodge Dakota sport with a v6 magnum. Without warning it just blew a hole the size of a quarter in the oil pan. I am thinking piston but would like some input as to how to repair and if it is...

Think you are on spot with internal engine failure, most likely a connecting rod came through the oil pan, there should have been some knocking just prior to it happening, though stranger things have happened. You are at a minimum going to need a rod and piston for that cylinder, although I would bet you will need more than one. Machining or replacing the crankshaft will be necessary, and these are just the effects of whatever caused the problem in the first place. . So in essance you will end up with a rebuild because you will not want to tear the engine all the way down and not rebuild it. My suggestion is to locate a good used engine and just replace it. That is what I would do if it were mine. But if you have the funds your best bet will be to at least put in a short block. No matter what you are in for in depth, major engine repair or replacement.

Im replacing my piston and rings and i took the cylinder and cylinder head out and i dont know how to time the engine , the sproket has a mrk on it and i dont know if i shuldput the piston all the way down...

Below is a generic diagram. If only one mark is present it points upward and in line with the crankshaft center line. If two marks are present they line up with the gasket surface of the cylinder head. The piston should be on TDC and the cam lobes should be pointing downward. Be sure the chain is on the crank sprocket, not wedged between the sprocket and the balance weights. Also be sure that the chain is taught on the front side of the engine. Any slack should be at the back side of the cylinder so the chain tensioner can work properly.
Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?

What are the timing gear specifications for 1992 Honda Accord 2.2L. am replacing the timing belt and gear & need to align timing marks. thanks

manualy turn the engine over to the first cylinder. (place screwdriver in cylinder through spark plug hole) when the pistion is all the way up that is top of cylinder #1 . at this point ther should be marks on the gears and on the block that align. if not than mark them your self with a paint marker. now loosen the tensioner to remove belt, and install new belt. be careful that all marks are still aligned that is a zero clerance engine. meaning that being one tooth off will colaps a valve.
