You dont need a CD or driver to connect to time capsule. All you need to do is to have you MACbook detect the Time capsuple. Open AirPort Utility, select Time Capsule, and click Continue. Enter the password of the time capsule if incase you secured the router.

You need to check whether ISP is working ok. To do this, connect your Mac Pro direct to your ADSL modem and see whether you can connect. If so, your Wireless may be too congested. Try to use a free WiFi scanner to check others who are on your channel. If you cannot find a clear channel to use, you may need to use another freq band AP, normally they are 2.4G WiFi, you can now use the 5.4G WiFi. You Mac Pro should support this band.

This is a confusing report. If you are successfully connecting two other computers to the router using the original router password, why can't you connect your MacBook Pro to the router using the same password? Or is it that the other two computers "know" the original password but you don't?
If one of the other two computers is a Mac, use the Keychain Access utility to look up the stored password for the router.
If not, use one of the other two computers to access the router's configuration screens directly and obtain the password that way.

Check your router's IP address from the Compaq machine. Get a command prompt and type ipconfig .all
Then wright down the IP settings.
Check the IP settings of the Macbook Pro. Adjust settings. You can give a Static IP also. If needed. But you have to set the default gateway -Enter previouse IP settings for those.
Check ur Wi-Fi settings also.

Can you connect hardwired?
If so, try selecting "Software Update" from under the Apple in the upper Left hand corner. There have been a number of updates that effect wireless connectivity.

Additionally try repairing permissions Application / Utilities / Disk Utility

You may need to access the router's setup page and configure it's Internet connection type to SBC's required settings. Usually it's PPPoE.

You should be able to reset the router.look on the back and see if there is a small, paper clip size, hole. Reset it back to default and try to reconnect.
