SOURCE: My lawn mower doesn't start
Hi Every 2 stoke engine needs three things to run:Fuel+oil/air mixture in correct proportions, compression and ignition.Remove the sparkplug and see if the spark appears when the piston in the cilinder is at top death point(almoust),if not check the flyweel key(not to be sheared).Check engine"s sealing(crankcase gasket, cilinder gasket,seals-crankshaft,carb gasket). Also the mufller(not to be clogged),disassembly the carb (check and clean it),fuel lines and fuel filter (check and clean them),gas cap tank vent(not to be clogged),the air filter. Please let me know. best regards savumihai71

There is a charger plug that needs to be plugged in to to an A/C charge adapter that plugs into a wall outlet looks like a wide plastic gator clip they break easily. Make sure your friend gave you this adapter.
Make sure the rechargeable battery you jus bought is fully charged the usually need to be plugged in for 48 hours for full charge to occur. If all this is good change the spark plug. If this does not o it call a local mower repair place like Tony's Not SEARS but first look on your mower there will be model numbers. You will 1 on the engine 6-10 digits and at least 1 if not 2 on the frame this will tell the repair shop all they need to know. To replace your pull recoiler Good Luck To You!!

Actually we ended up taking it back to the store we bought it at and since it had been less than 30-days they did not even look at it or attempt to fix it, just gave us a new one.

Check battery connections, make sure they are clean and TIGHT!
Check the harness where it plugs into the starter switch
Check the harness where it plugs into the battery wire harness
Check the cable at the starter, make sure it is clean and TIGHT
If you need it, you can go to toro.com and enter your model number and download both the Owner's manual and a parts manual if that helps you any
