Pioneer djm 500 trims not working properly

Does anyone know how/best way to clean the trims on a djm 500 i have had mine for many years now and my gain and trims are not smooth when turning up or down or have to wiggle to get to stay on or to turn right down ans sometimes crackle

The rotary controls / pot's (especially "low") on DJM500's are nototious for becoming dry jointed, usually a quick resolder of the legs / connections sorts them out.

gotta clean the silicone pad inside, you got carbon settling down there. Take it to a shop, is my best bet. Many ways to clean and restore these pads. Luck.

The bass pot's / controls are notorious for becoming dry jointed, all that is usually needed is the controls resoldering.

Playing a ipod on a djm-500


Use a male Twin Phono to 3.5mm stereo jack plug lead. The two phono connectors need to be male, so that they can plug into the red & white line sockets at the back of the DJM 500.
Are available in any audio products store.

are you sure you have your tt's plugged into the phono line with the master booth knob turned up? Check the mixer too cuz the techs should be square.
