I found this remote on Amazon for about $40.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AM00QJS

If the product is no longer available at the above link, try searching for the alternate version of the model: CHQ7096T

Side note: This question is about a remote control for a ceiling fan, yet strangely found in the "dryers" category.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Fan does not produce any wind

"this side up" should be facing up the ceiling. And the remote should have a LCD and the downward arrow should be on.

SOURCE: Ceiling fan stuck on high

Try removing 120 volt power from the fan by turning offf the house circuit breaker or removing the fuse from the fusebox that supplies power to the fan. Wait 30 seconds and restore power. This may reset the fan speed control in the fan itself.

Read this on another thread - apparently the solution came from HB's tech support.
Turn the fan speed to HI and then select Reverse.  You should hear a "click" and see the fan reverse direction.  It seems that the reversing relay only works when the fan speed is set to HI.
Good Luck!!

SOURCE: My fan reversed, but my controller does not have a reverse button

There is a switch on the housing of the fan. It is under the blades and above the lites if you have lights. Also same area as the chains. That is the reverse switch you might have hit it when cleaning the fan. just flip the switch iy goes left to right or reverse.
Good Luck and please rate

I've never heard of the light and reverse buttons being reversed. Normally It's the fan and light thats swapped (but your aware of that already). I would try a working w-32 from one of the other fans. There's also a shop called Fan Man Lighting in Minnesota who has a guy named Jason who has been fixing fans for over 20 years, He helped me with my Casa problems. Their website is www.FanManLighting.com Hope this helps.

The remote transmitter for My Hampton Bay Windward III 54" ceiling fan operates all fan functions properly; however, the lighting functions do not work with my remote. How can I check out problem?

The good news is that the fan functions properly. Now, do the following.

1. Turn off power to fixture at the breaker

2. Remove batteries from remote and press all buttons to eliminate a stuck button as a cause. Reinstall batteries

3. Turn on power and test operation of remote. Be sure to hold dimming button down until lights respond

My Hampton Bay ceiling fan runs only on high speed and the remote has stopped working even after changing the batteries. Does Hampton Bay have a life time warranty?

Yes, look up www.hamptonbay.com and get their contact number from them. It sounds like your transmitter (Remote) has failed. If it were the receiver the fan would most likely not work at all.

Can't figure out how to reverse the Hampton fan with the remote

I have the Hampton Bay Windward II Ceiling Fan SKU 523-127. I have replaced various parts over the years including the ballast, light shade, 9" 30 Watt Circline bulb and the remote.

Hampton Bay Windward II Ceiling Fan SKU 523-127 was sold by Home Depot, and manufactured by King of Fans.

King of Fans website is: http://www.kingoffans.com
This fan can be seen by clicking on Products --> Ceiling Fans --> Click on page 9 (at the bottom of the webpage) then click on the Windward II fan picture, then you will be able to click on Download Owner's Guide.

Windworld III has mind of its own -- light comes on any time it likes fan changes speed

This sounds like one of the most common problems with Hampton Bay's remote-contolled fans...either the transmitter (remote control) or the receiver (mounted in the fan, typically inside the ceiling canopy) has gone haywire. A circuit has blown or something is short-circuited, and it has a mind of it's own. The only fix is to replace the receiver and transmitter, which are relatively cheap and sold as a pair at your local Home Depot and Lowes.

Hope that helps! If you ave any other questions, feel free to ask!

There is a 4 position (dip) switch on both the fan housing and the remote. Make sure these switches are set exactly the same and the remote will control the light and fan separately. If not, the remote may be getting interference on the preset frequency - try CHANGING the dip switches to a different setting and the remote should work.
