SOURCE: self closing door hinges

This is not a refrigerator problem BUT, you must insert a tool like a drift punch into one of the holes on the top of the hinge and rotate it away from the door position then reposition the holding pin to prevent it from recoiling.

SOURCE: ice dispenser door flap will not close.

Remove the top freezer hinge hover on top of the freezer door . Unplug the receptical there ( this will remove power to the door only ) .
Using a small screwdriver at the "crease" on the bottom of the dispensor control board inside the dispensor , twist slightly to disengage the 2 clips ( 1 on each side ) holding the dispensor board . Unplug the 3 connectors from the board . 4 screws ( 1 on each corner ) hold the dispensor housing shield . Remove these 4 small screws . After removing , at the top right , you will see a solenoid and plunger . These are probably rusted , holding the flap open . The part number for the solenoid and plunger is WR62X10055 . 3 screws hold this part on . When reinstalling the dispensor housing , It slides back on 2 "grooves" so make sure it is back in place , or the board will not snap back on properly at the bottom .

Good day! The center flap (vertical hinged flap) no longer rotates back in when closing the left door. Result: the flap remains "out" when closing the door thus banging up against the right door.

Their is a factory issue on some models call the factory to see if your unit is a defective unit. Other wise the door flap has to be replaced. Not cheap..

How do I realign the fridge door with a top mount freezer

The top to bottom alignment is done by moving the hinges up/down. On many models there may also be plastic spacers on the hinge pins you can use to adjust the height. The closing of the door so it shuts properly and is flush on all 4 sides is done by adjusting the screws that hold the door gasket in place. If you've never done it before it can be a real pain to get it right. Make small adjustments to the screws and if need be grab the door at the center top and center bottom and give it a small tug in opposite directions to get it straight, if you have to. To test if its closing properly, look at the edge of the gasket all around it should be the same distance from the body of the fridge, use a mirror to see the bottom. To test if its sealing properly use a dollar bill. Close the bill in between the gasket and the door in areas all around the door, When you pull on the bill you should feel resistance, if the bill is not held in or pulls out easily the gasket is not sealing properly at that location, you need to adjust the screws to get it aligned better.

Ge monogram 48 built in refrigerator

If the seal to the top freezer is not sealing properly, this could be a matter of door adjustment. This a common refrigerator/freezer problem. The correction consists of loosening the door hinges and adjusting the seal for eveneness then retightening the hinges

I have a frigidaire stand up freezer model #lffh21f7hw, and the door isn't vacumn sealing the door, why?

If you have too much weight in the door or someone pulled down in the door, it gets twisted. Try lifting up on the bottom outside corner of the door to straighten it up. You might have to loosen the top hinge to reseat it.

The interior lights wont turn off. they melted the old light bracket so i replaced it and the lights still wont go out

It sounds like you have a switch that isn't closing when the door shuts. I'm not overly familiar with the LG's, but looking at the Sears Parts Direct site, it looks like the door switches are in the hinge covers on top of the unit. There should be two of them, one for each door. But, only one has to not be working to keep the light on. The first thing I would check is to make sure the hinge cover isn't loose or out of position. The switch should close when the door closes. If the hinge cover moves, then the switch won't close. If everything is tight and aligned, then one of the switches is bad. That can be checked with a volt meter that does continuity checks. Unplug the unit before checking because those wires should be hot at all times. If you don't have a meter and want to do trial and error, just buy one switch since they both are the same. Here is the parts diagram showing the switch locations and part numbers:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/LG-Parts/Refrigerator-Parts/Model-LFX25960ST/3204/0161000/K0810255/00001
The switch is 402A on the diagram, located on top of the box. If you click on the parts diagram, you can enlarge it to get a closer look.
The switch part number is 6600JB3007E
Hope this helps

Open the little metal screw on the larger hinge that is between the top and bottom hinges. This will allow to pull the seal all the way out. There is wiring behind that middle hinge so watch not to damage it. Then , you can realign the 3 hinges in their place and replace the screw in its position. It takes a little bit of patience to realign the 3 hinges but it's very doable.

you are still not getting a seal on that flap. It sounds as if it may be warped. THe reason the frost and ice is building up is due to the flap not sealing there isn't any other reson for your problem. Good luck on your repairs

Re Neff B1451 oven door not sealing against oven body at top

If you take the hinges off, you can fit some washers between the hinges and the door to make it close it further. Probably not as good as new hinges, but cheaper. 2mm of washers will close a 5mm gap
