Question about GE (PSS26MSRSS) Side by Side Refrigerator

Open Question

GE Refrigerator "HRS" Blinking

My side-by-side GE refrigerator, Model # PSC23SGRC,  is malfunctioning and '"HRS" is blinking on the control panel.  In addition, some of the button lights on the water dispener area are flickering.  The refrigerator is not cooling, the panel that usually displays the temperature is no longer doing so.  Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Unhappy GE Customer

Select temp lights go out and compresser tries to

Without a proper model number, it sounds like the compressor overload is is clicking on and off. I suggest calling a certified repair company as this sounds more complicated than a ordinary home owner can repair.

GE Profile Refrig model PSC23SGRC ice maker stopped making ice. Water is ok, just stopped? Is this common? Its only 4 yrs old

Your model has an electronic ice maker part number Click Here=> WR30X10093 When the electronic ice maker fails you usually need to replace the complete ice maker. You can test the ice maker by filling the tray with tap water. If the water freezes aand then drops the ice then the water control on the back of your refrigerator is the reason. The water control valve is Click Here=> WR57X10032 Either way let me know your results, Thank You, Sea Breeze

GE Model PSC23SGRC SS Serial #RH418861. Refrigerator make a howling noise Dave eci.david@gmail.com

I suggest a defrost with doors open over night, what often happens with this model is that you get an ice build up near the fan which causes an extremly loud noise, very common problem.

HRS flashing, nothing getting cold

Your refrigerator has a control board on the back behind a metal panel. Unplug and look at both sides to see if you see burn marks or loose solder. Go to this site and place model PS123NCRBV into the model search feature. That will take you to 13 similar models. The board on back is my first concern and the control inside will need to be looked at also if you find no problems on the back. The control board number is WR55X10656 let me know what you find, Thanks, Sea Breeze
