Question about Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Whirlpool gold Quiet Partner III is really loud.

I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner III. When I start the was cycle I hear it fill, the next cycle it goes into is really loud. It sounds like the motor is going bad. It is really loud. My husband checked the screens and the grinders. The screens are clean and the grinders are clear. He took the bottom cover plate off to look underneath and he said it sounds like its the motor. Any suggestions? Please help.

Thank you,

Lisa

I don't see a water trace on the motor or any water anywhere underneath the dishwasher. However, if it is a motor bearing going bad, is it cost effective to fix it or use that money toward the purchase of a new dishwasher?

if you see water trace on the motor that is a sign the water seal is bad and then leaked onto motor bearing and now nosie.but the most common nouise maker is somthing in the chopper blade, but you have cleaned

Now you'll be able too hear under the tub if motor bearing was the noise.put a long tool to the motor and close to you ear,see if that gives you a clue[i don't want you to give up on it if its not the motor]if was to buy that motor wholesale it would be around 50 bucks or so ,retail about 100 or so.so if replacing depends on the shape of the rest of the unit.[i have sold and installed many]new dishwasher on sale 300$ or so,plus your time to install.but if new its a forsure thing.so depends how much motor, how sure you are wiill solve problem, what shape unit in.hope that helps. God bless ,tom

I have a Whirlpool gold Quiet partner III. The Normal button of the cycle is blinking and I can't start the dish washer. What is going on?

most likely the door switch is not making contact or is faulty. Shut the door tightly and see if it makes any difference.

Please provide the full model number of the dishwasher in case you need further help.

This is a bad wash pump. Looking at about $175 for just the sump assembly. You could do it yourself, but unit would need to be uninstalled.

Liquid soap mistakenly used - bubble explosion

Fill the detergent cup with fabric softener for a full cycle. Don't be alarmed if bubbles seep out.

Finish off with a white vinegar wipedown of the insides if it still feels soapy.

Won't full cycle.

Ok. Mine has started working again somewhat. I ran a rinse cycle and the pump motor started working again. I then drained it, and started a regular cycle and it's working again for now. The motor still does not sound right though.
