The speakers on our Mitsubishi CS36509 have started crackling. Was just a little seems to be getting worse. Just started a few days ago. Does that mean the TV is toast? or is it possible to replace or repair the speakers? Thanks

It is possible to replace the speakers, order them from a tv repair service, pull the grills off, install.

hope that helps!

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

If all connections are good, I would suggest its picking up "spurious" signals from something electrical. There could be something (Even a fluorescent light flickering , which the receiver is picking up. Check around for something flickering or turning on and off. Electrical "spurious" signals can be sometimes difficult to detect but it seems that may be your problem. You may have to go round the house switching off 1 electrical appliance at a time ( And lights) to see which one is doing it. LED transformers for low voltage lighting can do it as well. Hope this helps, Cheers

Crackling and scratching

Your speaker may be blown take out the speaker that is hooked up and attach another one a house speaker would even work, and i bet your speakers are blow if not check the wires and make sure you have them connected properly if not check the wires going to the harness and to the speaker and if not i think the radio is fried you can also take a long speaker wire take radio out the dash and run it to the speaker if it does still the radio is fried take it back before 90 days is up!

So if you bought enclosures that are premade AND had the speakers installed, you need to see if there is a cross over network installed in them

Try making sure all the volume mixer settings are less than 90% of maximum as this can sometimes cause this problem

My speakers have almost constant crackling noises

Hello, there is no chance that you can fix this problem by replacing speaker wires. Resoldering the output stages as well as area around the microprocesor could be the efficient solution. If you need more info please advice.

After a while the system starts crackling and eventually sound deteriorates to thundering in speakers

Hi, I have exactly the same prob and I belive that it is in the amp module?! I am going to take mine in for repair as my other sony HT amp has just give up the ghost, (STR-DE435), it has a protector prob and is probably not worth repairing, although it is a great amp. If anyone knows the solution to this prob it would be great to hear it!!!
