Files missing in my hardisk

You probably deleted by accident? Check it in recycle bin, if found then click restore, Or you might moved it to different location by accident too, use search feature to find it. You might find it that way. Thanks

Accidently emptied a trash bin that contained a very import ant file. How to restore this file?

1. If you simply put files in the Trash you can restore them by opening the Trash (left-click on the Trash icon) and drag the files from the Trash to your Desktop or other desired location.
2. "Time machine" is a built-in backup tool that works with your Mac and an external drive, As the problem you described, I read it. The files deleted in Trash bin could be a different problem which Time machine can't solve. you can read this article and learn more. I hope it will help.
3. If you don't have a Time Machine backup yet, then your best option would probably be uFlysoft Data Recovery for mac software

Hi, Please - Check the deleted on your recycle bin ( have it restored) - If you could't find in recycle bin folder just use your restore system. Restore you computer to the date / time before it deleted. In idle screen click start> help & support> system restore and key the date/time correctly to get back your driver . Note you should be carefully to use restore system ( you suggest to back up all data at separate folder unless they will disappears permanently before you proceed the restore task).

I accidently deleted HP help&support file from my compaq desktop can you please tell me if there is a download for this

If you did not empty the recycle bin you should be able to restore it from there. Doing a system recovery from an earlier time may also recover/restore it for you.

Corrupted files

If you are running Windows XP you can do a system restore. Go back to yesterday. If the files are something you created today you can try something like Tune Up Utilities Undelete, free trial.

Recycle bin

1. Click Start, and then click My Computer. 2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options. 3. Click the View tab, and then click to clear the Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) check box. 4. Click Yes when the warning message appears, and then click OK to close the Folder Options dialog box. 5. Click Folders on the toolbar.

Note If Folders is not visible on the toolbar, point to Toolbars on the View menu, and then click Standard Buttons. 6. In the left pane, under Folders, locate the Recycle Bin folder, and then drag the Recycle Bin folder to the desktop. 7. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options. 8. Click the View tab, and then click to select the Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) check box. Click OK.Note This procedure does not re-create the original icon. However, this procedure restores most of the features of the Recycle Bin, including the following: • Delete a file by dragging it to the Recycle Bin icon on your Desktop. • Retrieve a file that you deleted by double-clicking the Recycle Bin icon on your Desktop, right-clicking the file that you want to retrieve, and then clicking Restore. • Empty the Recycle Bin by right-clicking the Recycle Bin icon on your Desktop, and then clicking Empty Recycle Bin. When you use these step to work around the problem, you cannot right-click the Recycle Bin shortcut to access the Recycle Bin Properties. To set properties for the Recycle Bin, follow these steps: 1. Double-click the Recycle Bin shortcut on the Desktop. The Recycle Bin folder opens. 2. In the upper left corner of the Recycle Bin folder, right-click the Recycle Bin icon, and then click Properties.
