i fixed my own problem by taking out the track bal and cleaning the area where the trackball button is, and tried to push it to see if it would worked, but it didnt. the button has a little orange film and a push button under it. i pilled the film off and the little button came off also, then i bent the button just a little because it was staying pushed down without the orange film. used a little peace of clear tape to hold the button down and i then could select my apps. after installing the trackball back in.

You may need a new trackball or the trackball socket repaired. either way its less than buying a new phone. contact www.fixphonenow.com they can provide you with a free estimate.

I downloaded some apps on my blackberry now i cant find my browser

On your main icon screen.. press the drop down menu key.. (the one to the left of the trackball) and select SHOW ALL... possibly the browser icon was hidden..

If not check your APPLICATIONS folder or other folder looking icons.. its probably down 1 level deep in one of the other icons

My blackberry scroll key not working

I just fixed mine trackball which can only move in the vertical direction. By removing the silver cover (there are three small clips that hold it in place), the trackball and its enclosure will fall out. Carefully remove the white plastic cover (there are 2 clips that hold them in place) on the other side of the enclosure. Take out all 4 cylinders (4 magnet at the end) with tweezer and clean thoroughly. The 4 cylinders got clog with lint and dirt which prevent the ball in contact with the cylinder. This will solve your problem.

Bought used sim card for Blackberry rim 7520

the phone number should be retrieved from the sim card or carrier login procedure.

I had a few blackberry's, including a 75xx series one, and when I popped in another card (I have a couple of prepaid subscriptions for testing), the number always came up automatically.

Should work... If not, try contacting RIM/Blackberry support, but I doubt they'll still give support for the 7xxx series models... sorry

Bb8800 the pearl/cursor does not scroll up

This is usally caused by the trackball getting dirty.

Use a q-tip dipped in IPA and clean it. Roll the trackball around and swab the q-tip around to clean.

If cleaning fails then you will need to replace the Blackberry trackball.

Check the following link on instructions on how to do that.

Mms not on my new blackberry 8100

First, ensure you have full data service showing on your blackberry 8900.

May need to check with your service provider to put on the proper data feature(s).

Then, on the device it’s self: press the Right Convenience key on the side. Frame the subject, Press the Trackball. Now, press the menu key Scroll down on the list to “send as MMS” You can now select a contact. (Either one in your contact list or a one time only) Press menu and continue. Scroll to subject. Enter that in. Scroll to message box. Enter in a cute little message. Press Menu key (once more!) and then SEND!
You’ll see arrows going back and furth.

For best results, send with +1_area code_number
If this is your first time sending MMS’s, send yourself TWO MMS’s with the same number format.
