Old phone would pair with Clarion VRX785BT's bluetooth
My Clarion head unit has built in bluetooth. I had the Samsung A737 and it automatically paired with my car everytime I turned my car on. Now I got the Samsung Propel, and the dvd player will not keep my phone paired. Any ideas why it's doing this?

This is not a solution but my Nokia Lumia 920 does the same thing. There are several post on the internet all pointing back to the 920 and iphone 4. I think the only link here is the cx-501. Clarion support is playing the blame game and blaming my 920 as the problem.
Make sure the receiver is set to "tel sw" or something similar in the menu. From there, you should be able to set the call to the left or right speaker. Make sure you set the headset to the same side.
Another thing to check, make a call and get connected through the headset. Now wait a few seconds and push a button on the phone to power the backlight. If it is wired correctly, you should see the "connected" timer on your phone keep time. If it appears that you are connected, the problem is most likely in the settings.
Also, if nothing else works, make sure that you have the accessory wire(should be red on the BLT370) connected to the right wires. All the other wires will power it on even if this wire is not connected correctly.
souds like one of two things. u need to change it auxiallry or ur using a pioneer cable instead of clarion i tried the same short cut to asve money. but try selecting video in ipod control then switching to auxiallry to watch the video
I'm facing the same problem. I had paired it with SE C902. Even after I reset the panel head & even after disconnecting the car batteries, the pairing for the SE C902 does not get deleted. It detects the BB9700, tries to pair & then shows an error. Is there any solution to this or do I need to throw the KD-AVX 33 out of the window & buy a new stereo? JVC......Please explain this problem or be ready to face the legal music, as I intend to file a damage case against you for fooling people into buying a stupid product.!!!!!
First of all do you have a bluetooth kit for your head unit? if so ensure it is plugged in correctly. if it is, then you need to activate bluetooth on your phone and make it visible to other devices, once this is done search from the phone for the bluetooth on the head unit. It should read BT100 or similar. Once it has found it all you need to do is pair them normally using the code 1234.
