Question about Lexmark C510n Laser Printer
Vertical streaks on pages
You probably need to replace the photodeveloper cartridge.
Also check the fuser, they sometimes get sticky and pull the toner off the paper. Look for anything stuck to the fuser's rollers. Also check the print outs by rubbing them to see if the toner is stuck to the page well, if not, it's the fuser.
Both need to be changed every once in awhile, with heavy use they need to be changed more often.

SOURCE: vertical streaks
The toner forms small lumps and get stuck on the doctor blade of the cartridge. Where there are the lumps it blocks the toner from getting on the roller. Removing the doctor blade and cleaning it with a soft cloth and alcohol can solve your problem.
Send me a mail at email@example.com if you need further help in doing it.

this sounds like you have a fuser problem look at the fuser and see if it has toner build up on the rollers ghost printing can be caused by the toner cartridge or the fuser. this would indicate that your fuser isnt maintaining enough heat for complete fusing. is you take the rear covers off and run your print job. look to the far left side of the fuser and you will see the heat lamp lit up. this light should cycle on every 1 1/2 pages or so. any longer than that and it wont keep up with the print job

the problems that you have discribed can all be create by a fuser that is worn. pull the fuser cover which is located in the top cover with a flash light you can inspect the hot roller. from what you have discribed you will find the hotroller to be discolored and every 2 inches or so you will see wear marks from the detack assembly fingers riding on the roller. also the center 3 inches of this roller will brownish colored with lines that will match up to you poor print problem change the fuser and it will fix your problem

If you have tried all that the only other thing that I could think of is the cartridge being defective. You can call Lexmark @ 1-800-332-4120 they may be able to help you replace the cartridge.
