SOURCE: I am having trouble removing

If you lift your treadmill deck up, you will find 2 screws underneath, on the side, towards the front. remove them and that should do the trick.

Use WD40. Or go to a nearby hardware store an purchase a rust remover. Aply either one and wait for a bit. Then remove screws.

Lifespan TR 1200i Treadmill Theres a creaking noise coming from inside the main covered (engine) compartment when I walk fast and run. I've taken the cover off and can't figure out what is causing the...

The LifeSpan TR1200i Treadmill can have a little bit of flex in the frame when being used on wood floors or carpet. With the large plastic hood tightened down securely, the flexing causes squeaks. Further tightening can cause unwanted deformation of the hood leading to breakage. The cure is to loosen the 4 screws that bind the hood to the frame until the hood is sitting on the screws without binding. The weight and size of the hood will keep it in place.

if you didn't lubricate the treadmill the try to do that first. if treadmills are not properly lubricated in time they will make noises and will cause problems for running belt and motor . check the video to know how to lubricate the treadmill.

Healthrider s300i treadmill does not turn on

Check the fuses under the lower hood. One should be a 10 amp fues, the other should be 15 amp fuse.

Replace them if blown. If they should blow again, move the treadmil to an outlet closer to the fuse box/breaker box of the house. the house wiring where you have the treadmill may not be adequate for the treadmill.

B). ReedSwitch
o 1 Unplugthe treadmill and remove the safety key. o 2 Movethe upright base of the treadmill down with the help of another person and liftthe uprights so that you can get to the underside of the console. Use aPhillips screwdriver with at least a 5-inch shaft to remove the screws. Thereare five hood screws on the 540 Interactive trainer and four screws on the540S. o 3 Removethe motor hood to get to the small reed switch by pivoting the hood off theframe. Find the reed switch and magnet, which are on the left side of thepulley for both models. o 4 Turnthe pulley with your hand until the reed switch aligns with the magnet. Thereshould be 1/8-inch gap between the two. Fix the distance so that it is 1/8 inchby loosening the reed switch screw and sliding it to the correct distance. Tightenthe screw. o 5 Reversethe directions to put the hood back on and the treadmill upright in theoriginal position.C). OpticSensor
o 1 Unplugthe treadmill, take out the key and remove the hood cover. o 2 Locatethe optic disc and optic sensors. The optic disc is the only circular disc setbetween two optic sensors. o 3 Spinthe disc with your hand. It must spin without hitting either of the sensors.Loosen the adjustment bolts that hold the switches in place with the includedAllen wrench and adjust them to ensure they do not interfere with the discs'ability to spin. Tighten the bolts and replace the hood.
Thank you in advance, sincerely. God bless you.

I have a proform 730 siteline, model PFTL 70070 and the electronic display is malfunctioning. Shuts machine off, sometimes it resets itself, etc. I've checked power supplies, motor control board, etc....

If the console takes batteries, replace them. If this does not work or your console does not require batteries, check the reed switch or optic sensor. Reed Switch: Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood cover. The reed switch is mounted on the frame next to the front roller pulley. There is a magnet glued into the front roller pulley. When adjusting the reed switch, make sure it is pointing directly at the magnet. Move the tip of the reed switch within 1/8" of the magnet. Also, check to see that the wire is not damaged, and is connected to the console
Optical Sensor: Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood cover. The optic disk and sensor are located either at the end of the motor or the right hand side of the front roller. The optic disk spins between two sensors on the optic switch. The disk must spin freely without touching either sensor. The sensors can be moved by loosening the adjustment bolt holding the switch to its bracket. The switch can then be slid. Center the disk.

Too noisy problem which is annoying during exercise.

The make and model of the treadmill would help. Your treadmill has 100's of moving parts so the noise can be coming from anywhere. Suggest starting the treadmill with no one on it. Does it still make the noise? If so from where? No noise? Then has someone walk on the treadmill and try and isolate the noise. You may need to remove the motor hood.

Proform 400GI Treadmill making a very loud noise, which is worse when using speeds between 2.7 and 3.1, noise is so loud can't hear tv when turned up to full volume. It makes the noise without anyone...

This definitely sounds like the drive motor. One way to check is to remove the drive belt and run the motor without the walk belt connected. Obviously if you still have the noise it will be a motor issue. If not then it will be one of the 2 rollers. Good Luck! Tim
