When I select to charge and transfer my Philips GoGear Vibe 4GB turns off and won't turn on until I disconnect it from the USB cord.

Reset the player using the pinhole. If it freezes again then please update the firmware on the player to resolve the issue

To update the firmware perform the below task:

  • Download the newest version of the Philips Device Manager:
  • www.usasupport.philips.com - change your country/language as needed
  • Enter in your exact model #
  • Click on the link for your exact model #
  • Click on the Software & Drivers section
  • Click on "Firmware Upgrade Software"
  • Install the new Device Manager
  • Open and run the "Update" tab

How do I get music to play on my Philips vibe mp3


Turn the Vibe on and then connect it to your desktop/laptop computer using the USB cable. It will be recognized by the computer as a removable drive. Transfer (copy/paste) mp3 music files from your computer to the Vibe. Disconnect the Vibe from the computer (the proper way to do it is to highlight it in your Windows Explorer, right click on it with your mouse and from the menu that pops up select 'Eject' or 'Disconnect'. After that, you can physically remove the Vibe from your computer). Using the controls on the Vibe, select any of the mp3 files you just transferred and play it. You can go through the same process with photos and videos.

My MP4 won't charge or turn on and the USB port isworking fine, my computer won't even recognise that the mp4 is connected


You can turn off the Mp4 for a while and re-install the system ,and then you can change if the port is fit the computer ,you can also used a transfer interface to connected the computer .

My philips gogear vibe wont turn on


Reset your GoGear with something sharp like the tip of a pen or the end of a paper clip,

if you're device isn't working properly or there's a frozen display.


Insert the sharp object into the "Reset" hole (located at the bottom of the player), and hold it there until the device turns off.


If resetting the device does nothing to restore the display, access the "Philips Device Manager" through your computer to recover the GoGear.


Click "Start" on your computer, then "Programs," "Philips Digital Audio Player," "Aria Device Manager," and then "Philips Device Manager."


This will launch the "Philips Device Manager." Make sure the GoGear is turned off completely. Connect your GoGear to your computer while holding down the "Volume Up" button.


Continue to hold the "Volume Up" button on your GoGear, until the "Philips Device Manager" recognizes the device and enters recovery mode.


Click the "Repair" button when it appears on your computer, then folow the steps to fully recover the GoGear.


Properly disconnect your GoGear from your computer and restart the device.


Recharge your device if your GoGear dies suddenly while playing.

Connect the GoGear to your computer via the supplied USB cord.


Plug one end of the USB cord into a functional, open USB port on your computer. Plug the free, smaller end of the USB cord firmly into the small USB jack on your GoGear and turn your computer on.

This will begin the charging process of your GoGear.


If recharging doesn't work, the battery may need to be replaced.

Check that your GoGear isn't in standby mode. Hold the "Power" button for two seconds to turn it back on.

My Go gear vibe 4gb MP3 battery is flat and won't recharge.


If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

How do I download songs onto my phillips gogear cam


  • Charge your Philips GoGear ViBE for at least three hours before turning it on.
  • 2 Insert the small end of your mini USB cable into your GoGear ViBE. Insert the other end of this cable into one of your computer's USB ports. Turn your GoGear ViBE on by pressing and holding the "Power" button for two seconds.
  • 3 Insert the Philips GoGear ViBE software disc into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Follow the onscreen prompts to install it.
  • 4 Open "Computer" from the "Start" menu and locate the GoViBE icon to make sure it has been successfully connected to your computer.
  • 5 Navigate to your music files. If you're unsure about their location, start by looking in the "Music" folder under the "Start" menu.
  • 6 Drag and drop your music files from their folder onto the GoViBE icon in your "Computer" window.

GoGear Vibe 4gB Fullsound issue. Hi all. I have a minor problem with mi philips gogear vibe 4gb. If i play any song with the option Fullsound turned on, it turns off when the player jumps to the next...


This could be a feature which does not encourage the full sound option as it might drain off the battery in less time. Hence it is to be used only in cases where the need is necessary and so you need to manually select the song or skip before it selects by itself as the volume level can be retained.

Error message File System Error


Whenever I go to turn on my Philips Gogear audio video mp3 player, it shows the welcome screen but it doesn't go to the GoGear or the updating screens. Also, whenever I plug it into my computer through the USB cord, the charging screen doesn't show and it does not show that it is connected on 'My Computer'
