Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Your amp is clipping.
A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you. amplifier has no sound - amplifier-no-sound-peeu4x5nsxvd53n2rwetiqa4-3-0.jpg

The ground will not be the problem here as if it is grounded incorrectly the amp will NOT power up. Check the speaker cables to make sure there are no breaks. also check the rca cables for the same and make sure they are plugged in all the way. couldn't hurt to take a look at the remote wire. if you want to test the subs to make sure they are not blown try taking them out and hooking them to a home receiver you should be able to make sure they are carrying frequency that way. if so then check the head unit settings. Sometimes the wires inside the woofer box shake loose take one sub out and check if they are connected properly. Hope this helps.

You need power to the amp. If the light on the amp is not on then your amp is the problem. Get power to it.

the Q4000 only funs 400 max and thats at 4ohms bridged 2x200 if you need high powered amps i would look at soundstream or MTX and you would need atleast 1 secondary battery cause to max a amp out you need to have constant 14.4 volts going to power the amp.

My turntable connect to Carver Preamp, I bought a

If you can hear music with the volume up, but like it was turned down low (from the power amp), then yes there is something up with it. If it's the same on both left & right channels, then it's something common to both. For instance the power supply, or an IC that has both channels going in it.
If however the power amp does produce sound normally with another device, then either the turntable has a fault, or the pre-amp has, perhaps on the pre-amp inside it for the cartridge.

Speakers are connected to pre-amp or power-amp? pls explain connections , what connects with what , between cd player + pre amp + power amp + speakers.

Do this, CD audio out jacks to the PRE-AMP INPUT jacks, then PRE-AMP OUT jacks to AMPLIFIER INPUTS then from AMPLIFIER to speakers, This will work similiar with any sound source unit ie. Radio Tuner, Tape deck, etc. Just think of it this way, a PRE-AMP is BEFORE the AMPLIFIER, all the AMPLIFIER is going to do is AMPLIFY the sound to your speakers, HOPE THIS HELPS!

No power no sound

this may be because there is no signal going to the RMT terminal on the amplifier. try connecting a +12v line, this line tells the amp to turn on. it is normaly connected to the header unit of the car so that it will turn on the amp when the unit is powered on.

Power light on the amp goes on after 5 sec off ultra linear 1200

If you run the remote from the battery you will need a on/off switch. Sounds like the amp is overheating. Also, I don't understand bridge the remote and power. They should be seperate going into the amp.

Amp not putting out any sound

Check you pre amp RCAs and make sure they are holding a voltage...this is where the Amp takes that signal and amplifies it...without this connection the amp will not produce any power.

NEW AMPLIFIER WILL NOT LIGHT UP OR POWER UP

It sounds like your saying that you have two identical amp, that both are on the same power wires and remote wires and sam grounds? Well if thats the case then you did ok as One amp sounds like its blown. First tghing is check the main fuse. If its good and the unit still dosent resond then the power supply in the amp is blown as theres a switching supply that increases the 12 volts to get power to drive the Mosfet output devices. Was it ever working?? yes then the amp needs service. Do you know how to work on solid state elctronics down to componet level?? No?? Ok contact these folks at the addy im posting for you or take the amp to your local servicer. Good Luck. AudioSupport@VisonikCarAudio.com
