Question about Honeywell Power Humidifier: Furnace Humidifier/ Humidifier

Furnace pilot problem

Pilot flame was 8''-12'' high. Replaced orifice. new 1 was approx.1/16'' shorter than the old 1. replaced thermocouple also. Pilot stays lit. When burner flame comes on pilot goes out in2-5min. Sometimes before blower comes on sometimes 2-4 min aft blower comes on. was told the shorter orifice should still work. is that my problem? (when the pilot goes out I hear a click in my control box)

Check the pilot gas pressure, might be too weak and blowing out when the blower starts, the clicking noise is the gas valve shutting down when it detecks no pilot flame, that park is normal.

Automatic pilot light wont light on a honeywell furnace

Honeywell is a controls company and makes a variety of auto-pilots. If this is a no spark problem, does the lead from the igniter go to a big PC board or a module. If a module, check voltage to the spark module or thermostat voltage to the ignition module. If it comes from a large board, the board may be bad. I'll need more Info. if this does not cover it for you.

You might have a thermocouple that can't be cleaned. No Water Flow to Honeywell Enviracaire HE225A1006 Humidifier

I have same problem with no water flow on identical humidifier but was able to fix it. Removed the inlet to the solenoid valve and found (1) a small taper mesh filter inside (2) a small diameter orifice that was clogged. Cleaned the miniature filter and used a sewing needle to open the orifice and now works perfectly.

Water is leaking from the bottom of the unit

The tune up kit that I ordered arrived on Friday and I installed most of it on Friday night. While it is nice to have a new frame and the distribution panel and I think the price of the whole kit was fair considering it comes with the parts and 2 water panels, the fix was really simple.

The kit came with the water distribution tube with with a new blue orifice (Aprilaire #4232) already inserted. This orifice is in the end of the plastic tube at the solenoid end. When I removed the old water distribution tube, the old orifice was not really dark blue anymore but kind of a light blue and was deteriorating from 12 years of exposure to the chemicals in the water. What should have been a pin-hole size opening in the orifice was up to about 2mm or a little more so the orifice was letting way too much water through.

If anyone else has this leaking problem, and your orifice is several years old, I would check that first. It is a $2.75 part and may be the cause of the leak. The whole feed tube kit is only $8.75 and includes the feed tube, nozzle, orifice, ferule, compression nut, strainer so if you need to replace the orifice, I would order the whole feed tube kit for a little bit more.

Hope this helps,
Roger...

Wall heater does not work!

it sounds like the gas valve is not getting power. There is probably a saftey device that has tripped, preventing the voltage (24v) from energizing the gas valve. check for 24v throughout the circuit. It should be a simple series circuit.

Furnace

I would guess from the info provided that you only have two wires going to your thermostat which would explain why the fan switch doesn't work on the thermostat. You can bypass the thermostat as a first step in troubleshooting. After that it depends on the type of furnace, standing pilot or electronic ignition...
