My Problem w/ my Toshiba Satellite P105-S9337 model no. PSPAGU - OOJOOV is it has a strip of white line vertical on the screen and it's about 1" thick? is their a way I can fix this problem?

Connect an external monitor to the VGA port on the computer. If that display is correct, then it's probably the LCD screen on your laptop that is damaged.

Find a computer-store. They may have "pre-owned" LCD screens the same size, for about $100.
A "brand-new" LCD screen is at least $200.

Replacing the LCD screen is *NOT* something that *YOU* can fix, unless you're a qualified technician.

My screen is bigger than the monitor for my toshiba satellite laptop.

Hi.
What is happening is the settings that you have set on your laptop are too high for the monitor to recognize.
You will need to reduce the resolution settings in you display properties which can be found by going to start-settings-control panel- display- and in the display area choose settings.
Some video cards will let you adjust each item. Some you have to use the same resolution on both screens.
Shout if you need furthur input !

HP Pavillion zd8000 LCD problems

I had the same happen to me.. it started with one white vertical line.. then got the whole rainbow (red, green, blue).. Solution: Try connecting an external monitor.. if there is no problems, then it's not the video card or chipset.. it's going to be the lcd.. you can get it on ebay for about $200.. hope this helps..

VERTICAL COLORED LINES ON MONITOR

Your panels are dying.
Well more to the point the driver tabs that run the panel are dying and are not going to be cheap to repair for either case.

For the stand alone LCD, it is cheaper to get another one.
For the laptop, find a laptop on Ebay or similar with a dead motherboard and swap out the screens, also gives you spare parts for the laptop. If you goto a repair shop and get a screen it will cost you as much as a new laptop.
