The thread on my (new) Brother 6000 is catching on something after passing upper thread through the thread guide. It is so tight when it gets to the needle, I can't sew. Tension setting doesn't matter

Remove the top thread completely from the machine. ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning. Verify the thread path is correct.

If it continues then it could be threaded incorrectly. Otherwise, take it for service.

My Brother HE 1 will not feed the top thread. When I embroider, the thread never comes off of the spool. I have rethreaded the needle, it is correctly threaded.

I don't have this particular machine, but have you made sure that you are threading correctly? I would completely remove your upper thread and put on a fresh needle. Also, whenever you do make a thread change, be sure and cut the thread at the spool on top and then pull the thread from the bottom (needle area) This will help prevent any fraying in the thread path that you can't get too easily. If this isn't an embroidery only one, try just sewing first so you will know if it feeds. It it does work in sewing mode, some machines are picky about thread. Here is a link for the path:

Brother 661 charger keeps breaking the thread on the needle when it goes down in the machine

Install a new needle. Remove the thread from the upper threader. RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning. Verify the thread path is correct. Set the tension to the midway point.

I can't thread the first 2 steps on my Brothers pacesetters 2800

Verify that you are following the correct thread path. Also, ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the upper thread. This allows the thread to seat completely in the tension disk.

Why is my Brother SQ9185 Sewing Machine thread bunching up on the back side of the fabric?

That is called thread nesting or bird nesting. Usually it is because it is threaded incorrectly (sometimes the thread jumps out of a thread guide or the take-up lever), the upper thread is not seated in the tension disk, or the upper tension is incorrect.

First thing, install a brand new needle.
Second, remove the upper thread, RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning--make sure the correct thread path is followed.
Third, check that the upper tension is set at the midway point between high & low number.

Test. Adjust the upper tension as needed. Re-test. Tension is correct when the upper and bobbin threads meet in the middle of the fabric.

Brother cs6000i thread tension issue

Logically, the top thread should not be affected by a walking foot as the thread operates independently of the presser foot.

Suggest removing the top thread totally from the machine. ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning. Verify the thread path is correct.

Check that your walking foot is installed correctly--the fork-shaped piece needs to encircle the needle clamp screw.

If you continue to experience problems with the walking foot but none of the other feet, recommend contacting a Brother technician.

The needle wont stayed treadedwhile sewing. I have changed out the needle and changed out the thread and it keeps unthereading while sewing the bobber is working just wont stay threaded threw the neddle

My trouble shooting suggestions are:

check that the thread is in the thread take up lever eye correctly
Is the top tension set too tight, ie should be on 5
Is the thread catching somewhere in the thread path?
Is it catching on the thread spool itself, sometimes they have a little notch cut in the top edge to hold the thread tail but it could be getting caught in there during sewing. If so, turn thread spool up the other way or use a mushroom cap on top to hold the thread off the spool top edge.

just go through the top threading path checking thread is into all thread eyes correctly and not catching on anything and that it is threaded correctly, it should be one of the above causing this.
