Question about Panasonic KX-TG2357 Cordless Phone
Astoundingly, the KXTG2357 works only with the original handsets it came with! You cannot replace a handset by buying another one (same model, of course) and register it with the base. How ridiculous is that? It's like buying a lamp that works only with the bulb that came with it. Replacement bulbs won't work. Well, Panasonic is one company I won't be dealing with anymore!
So, the solution is to get along with one less handset, or buy a new phone unit.

I have the same problem, and am just going to buy a new phone set. As a result, I have an extra working handset available for sale, if anyone wants to buy it. It is about 2 years old, works fine.

I am looking for two new handphones only - my base is working perfectly fine and I love it!! The buttons on my both my phones are wearing out. Would love to replace them ASAP

The buttons wore out on my handsets too. A few friends have the same phone and the same problem. I'd prefer to replace the handsets rather than buy a new phone.
