The battery/batteries in the receiver/handset need to be charged or replaced. When they get older, they will no longer hold a charge, and your phone is beeping to let you know.

    batteries are new

  • Anonymous Nov 27, 2012

Have those new batteries been charged long enough? I just accessed your owner's manual online, and it says to charge newly-installed batteries for 16 hours. Make sure, too, that the batteries are installed correctly with the + end matching the + contact inside the battery compartment.

This is from your owner's manual:

  • Anonymous Nov 27, 2012

Put the handset on the base and charge for 16 hours first. (They mean after installing new batteries.) If you still have problems, you can call the manufacturer for help at 800-426-3738.

Why is there a beeping noise when I press talk?

When you press talk, there should only be 1 beep. This is to confirm that the Talk button has been pressed. If it beeps multiple times, this means the phone is not communicating with the main base station, or the battery is low or dead.

I don't have the code for the bluetooth system for my Acura MDX. Is there a reset button for the bluetooth setup?

Hi,

If you got an owner's manual with the X, check page 172 for "clearing the system".

If not, the manual says to Press and releas the top of the TALK/BACK button. After the beep, say "System." The HFL will respond is, "System options are setup and clear." Press and release the "TALK/BACK button. After the beep, say "Clear." This process will clear all paired phones, all phonebook entries , and clear the passcode. Is this what you would like to do?" Press and release the TALK/BACK button. After the beep, say "Yes." The HFL will respond "Preparing to clear all paired phones, all phonebook entries, and the passcode. This may take up to 2 minutes to complete." Press and release the TALK/BACK button. After the beep, say "OK" to proceed or say "go back" or "Cancel. If you say "OK," after a short period of time, the HFL response is, "System has been cleared. Returning to the main menu."

Good luck.

When talking on the phone, the phone keeps beeping. What am I doing wrong.

Please time the beeps. Most likely the phone beeps after every minute. If I am right that means that there's nothing wrong with your phone. The beep is like a time keeper.Sort of like trying to remind you that the 1st minute is up, then the second and so on...
Hope it helps.

RCA 4 line phone

Hi Richman,

If you have more than one phone line which I assume that you do -if one party has not completely hung up the handset after putting someone on hold when you pick it up on your end you will hear that beeping noise that you are talking about. Have them pick back up the line while you are on it and replace the handset again on thier phone to disconnect completely.

I hope this helps (trial and error)
Thanks
