You have to take the remote, find the input button, push the input button untill your picture comes back, you should see the input go from cable/antenna, to vid 1--vid2---vid3---if pushing the button a couple of times dont change it, you will have to hit the input button, then arrow down, and select the nexy one, do that untill you find the picture

My tv doesnt respond to the remote any more. I fitted new batteries but nothing - not even to stich it off> TV works fine from the on set controls

Testing remote control:
The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera's Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera's screen when any one of the remote button is pushed. If you do see the flashing on the camera, then the problem is in the TV IR receiver or the main logic board; more troubleshooting with scope will be needed to look at the signals.

Sony Bravia No signal plus flickering image and

You know how to reset the tv to its factory setting, I think you are a technician. Second thing you can do is software update. Go to http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=KDL42V4100&LOC=3#div_pos_30 . If it doesn’t work. Replace the Main board (UB board). Part # A-1547-086-A Cost approx $320.

Knowledge obtain from: Repair experience on same symptom.

Blue screen - no signal - turns off [visio tv L42hdtv10a]

With out turning on the T.V., Push the [Input] button on the remote control. The TV should turn on and activate the input menu, just continue to push [Input] until it is set on TV (or HDMI, etc.). this should solve your problem.

HDMI-No signal input

Turning the power off shouldn't have caused the problem.

Make sure the TV is set to the correct HDMI (1 or 2) by pressing AV on the remote and moving up and down the list.

Check the laptop is set to output through the HDMI socket.

Right click on the desktop -----> properties ----> settings

Actual options depend on your graphics card.

T.v. will not stay on

Power on your TV and press the INPUT button on the side of the TV repeatedly and rapidly until you can change it to a different input, such as AV.

If this does not work. Try this: With the TV off, press and hold the input button on the side of the TV for about 5 seconds. The TV should power on and the input list will appear. Let me know if either of these work.
