Go to this page:

Select your operating system from the list.
On the next page you can click on the needed software link to download it, or for some you can order a CD.
When you get the download window, you should select "Save" and then save it to a place you know how to find. Either your desktop or a Temp folder would be good.
Remember that when installing this printer you have to disconnect the usb cable before installing the software. Do not connect the cable until the software installation prompts you.

I have cleared all HP connections from my "add and remove" program. I insert my installation disk and it will like it is going to install, then I get a message that reads " you have a error and the installation cannot be completed. Then it uninstalls everything and that is it. I don't have a clue of what to do. I rely on my printer a lot
