Get a better antenna or if possible a outside one--set can only deal with the quality of signal that it gets.

Today my tv's video iss flickering some times it goes to the static but mostly its lines going up the tv screen changing the colors to black and white sepia or looks like and old VHS vido thats way old...

It could be a loose connection on one of the input lines. try a dvd player plugged right into the tv. If the problem still is there then it is not the signal its the TV itself. if the dvd player looks ok then the bad signal could be from the converter box or something else on the line infront of the input signal

Screen flickering with lionheart

make sure that this DVD is working fine with other sets before we can blame it on the set.
If it works fine then it can be due to diffference in the recording pattern as it generates some strange signals to make the sync out of the picture frame. If the DVD plays all other formats well there is none to blame but the Disc.

My HDMI output on TV keeps flickering on / off when connected via my Yamaha RX2700 amplifier. The signal initially works for about 20 x minutes and then starts flickering. When the HDMI cable is connected...

look for hdmi output in amp if it is rusty or dusty put a drop of cleaning oil in it and insert cable 10 times init and see if it works there is nothing wrong in cable as it works directly must be a connection problem due to dust or rust

Screen Flicker - JVC Video Recorder

Has the DVD disc got Macrovision (marked sometimes as CP) on it. If it has you will never solve it, as the signal is flickering due to the Macrovision. Which is a copy protection system designed to stop people making copies of films etc.

VIZIO Flickering Fade to Black

Do you have more than one source on the input you are using for the tv signal? For example, are you using AV1 for tv, AV2 for dvd? If a signal is weak, real weak, the tv will automatically move to the next like input. That being said, if you are in fact setup like I'm asking about, a weak signal would explain the flicker and fade to black. Of course, it could be the main board in the early stages of going bad but we'll try to stay positive for now. :^ )
Let me know please.

Problems using HDMI

I've had a problem with the HDMI connector, had it replaced twice while my VPL-HS60 was under warranty. This connector seems very fragile, the first time I was not getting any signal from HDMI, so the repair shop ordered a new connector and replaced it, a couple of days after the it was not working again and found that they had to solder it back on the board. If you're not getting a signal from HDMI anymore that could be your problem.
