I have a vx900 internal power supply. Wont power on at all so I checked the caps, seems good, I tested the power supply, 11 volts out of the unit but 2.5 volts when it is reinstalled. What do I need to do...

There are two version of this monitor, one has built-in power supply, another one uses 12vdc adapter.
Adapter:
http://lcdpayless.com/productpage.php?productId=4629

The adapter is REGULATED 12vdc 6a power supply that can handle the load up to 6a, if when is has load on it and the voltage drops down to 2.5vdc, teh it is that the power supply is bad or you have shorted circuits in the monitor. You can test the power supply using 12v car lamp such as #1157 bulb to test your power supply under load.
Caps in the power supply do go bad as you can see in my pictures here:

I have lost the original power supply for my dell 1701fp monitor. I have a power supply that I think may work as a substitute until I can replace the original. I need to know, what the acceptable voltage...

What ever you use, it must be REGULATED power supply that will maintain 14vdc output, rating at 3A. These regulated power supply can easily maintain the output voltage within +/- 5% with input AC voltage range from 100~240vac.
Linear regulator power supply may not work since it has slow response time to regulate the voltage.

Hello, I have a Kds Radius RAD-7C monitor and the original power supply is no longer working. I have a universal power supply with a range from 15 to 24 volt and 6 amp, my question is, can I use this for...

6A is OK, HIGHER CURRENT is OK but not higher voltage, the main key is that the pwoer supply MUST be REGULATED power supply. Does it say that on the universal power supply that you have?

LG Flatron 575MS 15.1" LCD Monitor Need 24 volt power supply

alkarim 15, Are you looking for an "open frame" switcher or a "open frame" linear dc supply. Does it need to have regulated output or if linear type just brute force output. What is the current requirement of the circuit you will use with the power supply? Have you checked www.jameco.com or www.digikey.com or www.newark.com . Does it need to be AC or DC output? 12fixlouie

Cornea 1810 monitor power cord

Apparently the monitor's power consumption is near or slightly exceeds the specified value.
My suggestion would be to purchase an adapter with higher rated output current - if for example your original adapter was rated 12V 4.5A, go for a 12V 6A rated adapter. A 30% safety overhead will hopefully contribute to higher reliability.

Replacement AC/DC cord to power up my 1730B comp monitor

You cannot use a VGA cord to power a monitor. That is the cord that connects the monitor to the computer and is not the power cord. Almost all monitors use the exact same 3 prong power cord. Any computer shop will have a used one on hand.

Just acquired a TCO 99 monitor but the DC12v 3.0A

brucemeyer, Are you missing the Whole "lay on the floor black box switch mode power supply" thing, and not just "a cable"? Gee, those monitors aren't very good without their DC voltage source!!
You could always use a car battery, but then all you need to do is figure out where positive and negative plugs into the monitor. Remember This IF you get it Wrong, you could DESTROY the monitor forever!!!! The best bet for you will be to contact Taxan service and get a recommended substitute SMPS brick supply. Hmmm???? I wonder where the original went? I'm louie12fix on fixya or lmistyrel@ aol.com
Bye for now.
