The control board senses the inlet thermistor shorted. The inlet thermistor is a part of the hi-limit thermostat which is located on the heating element box. Here is the part to order.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet dryer won't move past sensing function on any cycl

Found the culprit. The thermal fuse was blown. Had no conductivity with ohm meter so I placed a jumper around it and presto dryer runs. Cleaned the exhaust and fan but found no blockage and really was not that bad. Hoping maybe just a weak part. The model on the Whirlpool Duet electric dryer is GEW9250PWL I believe the the last three are just the color. The part number on the Thermal Fuse is #3392519. This is easy to get to through the front panel just below the load door. Hope this helps some else out.

SOURCE: I turn the dryer on (Duet GEW9250pw1) and it just

HI. Your unit is equipped with an electrode(moisture sensor). This sensor helps the unit, in conjunction with the thermostats, to dry the contents during the cycle selected. This error is concerning this sensors integrity. It may be covered with lint, in return, preventing it to sense the moisture correctly, or the sensor may be damaged as well. It is locate just behind the Grill on the outlet lint screen door. I recommend to clean this sensor properly. if the unit continues to show the error code(sensing), this will confirm that the sensor is damaged, and it must be replaced in this case.

Is the dryer gas or electric? But you can also try cleaning the vent tube the pipe that goes outside also the pipe that goes into the dryer it's a good chance it's full of lint.

Whirlpool duet dryer - when using the settings that automatically sense if the clothing is dry the dryer is saying the clothes are dry but the clothing is still damp

Easy fix: Look inside the drum below where the filter goes in. You will see two metal strips. They sense the wetness. Now get this: the dryer sheets rub against them and a thin wax buildup on them prevents the controls from properly determining wetness. The control has no clue the clothes are still damp and thinks everything is kosher; so it advances to the end. Solution. Clean the stuff off of the sensors so that they can sense the true wetness once again.

You need to listen for the motor working ? Open the dryer door hold the door switch in and start the dryer . A buzzing sound may indicate a bad motor. If you hear a slight spinning noise ,it may just be the belt.
