Audio driver in reason 4 keeps disconecting

It will work for a while then dissconect. i go to preperences to try and get it working but then none of the audio drivers will work. they just dissconnect instantly. All other sound on pc is fine. If i restart the pc it works for about a minute then dissconects.
The error that comes up says, 'your audio driver has stopped working, please go to preferences and choose another'.
I have tryed reinstalling
If you could help it would save my life.

I have a similar problem. I installed a driver that came with my Behringer USB midi controller. When I start Reason without the midi controller connected via USB, Reason says that the driver could not be found. I know that's because the controller isn't connected, of course. But I also have to connect the USB cable to the very same port I installed the Behringer driver on, otherwise this driver can't be used. When I want to use a different USB port, that means I will have to select a different driver in the Reason Preference menu. It sounded a bit odd to me at first, but that's the way it works.

There is a signal in Reason when I press a key on the midi controller, but no sound. Not even when I play a Reason song that I recorded earlier. Every other sound on my computer works though. When I select the ASIO Multimedia Driver, I do get sound in Reason, but at a very high latency.

Hey, this worked for me!
Edit: Preferences: Page: Audio Then simply change the 'Audio Card Driver' until you can hear reason playing sound.

Hello to all,

I came across a similar problem with all of the symptoms you described, although I use Windows 7 and a Edirol UA-25X.

With one particular song I am creating, the audio driver just stops responding right after a loop.

I figured that, since I have a template of instruments set as a default song to start making new musics, I removed the last instrument that I inserted and after an audio driver reset the problem stopped (note that the audio driver reset was tested before without success).

So my guess is for you to try removing some instruments and try. Maybe a sound sample is jamming the audio driver at a particular point.

I hope it will solve your problems.

Greetings from Portugal.

The heating seat is not working

In driver's seat you must dissconect gray terminal with 3 pins and check contonuity between 1 and 2, and next between 2 and 3 pin. There should be continuity. If not, the heater inside seat is out of order. Passanger's seat has gray 4p terminal. There must be continuity between 2 and 3, and 3 and 4 pin. Don't dissconect yellow conectors (SRS)! If you are not sure dissconect first battery for 10 min. Btw, check first all fuses inside car (both side-driver's and passanger's)) and check under-hood fuses.

My sound isent working on reason 3

I can't remember if reason 3 settings are setup like version 4 and 5, but you should find the audio settings under the edit / Preferences menu. In the page drop down box press Audio. Now in the Audio Card driver, select DX Primary Sound Driver. This will use the same driver that windows does. If you see one that says ASIO use that as it is lowest latency. If that doesn't work you may need a better sound card. Reason 3 does not support a lot of generic sound cards. You might also try downloading the latest driver for your sound card, I could help you locate a driver if you give me the model of your PC and / the model of your sound card.

My computer's sound does't work after formatting what shall i do

Go to the Compaq website. Use the support option. You should be able to find your system there with a list of drivers for it. Try the sound drivers one by one until you find the one that works. Make sure you delete the ones that do not work and keep only the good one. Hope this helps.
