Question about Acer Aspire 5004WLMi Notebook
I zapped the backlight on my monitor and am looking for a part # for the monitor and cost for the part.
The backlight is incorporated into the lcd panel itself. it's not a stand-alone part so the whole lcd display needs to be replaced. In our service department, this part will cost you over $350 Canadian dollars. With the age of the laptop taken into consideration, it may be better in the long run to connect the laptop to an external monitor and look at a new laptop. You can remove the display panel to do this if you like, but be aware that the wireless antennas are in the display panel, so you will have to remove the antenna wires from the display panel or use a usb wireless card.
If you want to get a part number and price, contact acer directly.
Hope this helps :)
