Question about Sharp LC52SB55U LCD TV

Can't hear the output speakers

I've hooked up the output audio to a Bose Wave radio. I'm not getting any audio output.

Is there a setting I'm missing?

Although I had tried all of the suggestions (and still didn't have sound), your recommendations put me on a path to just start all over again and be sure all the connections and settings were correct.....voila.....enough sound to enjoy the new Blu-Ray player (the audio is really low on some of these movies).

    A great experience. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you have the cable hooked to output. Go into your televisions menu and set the speakers to external. That will disable the interior speakers on the television. there are actually two options. You can set it to fixed output, internal speakers off. This is best for just using the Bose speakers all the time. Or you can set it to variable output; internal speakers on. That way you can watch TV late at night and use the internal speakers and not "bother" those sleeping. Or crank up the Bose when everyone is watching! Make sure you have the Bose set to the proper input as well. Good luck!

I would like to hook up an HD tuner to my Bose Wave Radio through the RCA input jacks . . . . I've done this with an iPod and it worked . . . . will the tuner play through the Wave Radio?

Of course it will if it has audio outputs. For all the Bose knows it's just a standard external audio device. What keeps you from just trying it?

I have a Bose Wave, Multi CD changer and wish to output my TV audio to it. Bose reps say all I have to do is connect Red & white audio cables to the AUX input on the CD changer and to the TV's Red...

The only other solution for this would be to connect the red and white RCAs directly to the source that you're trying to hear. (i.e. cable box, dvd player etc.) I have seen a convertor that will go from digital coax to RCA, but I'm not sure how reliable it would be. Plus a good one would be very expensive for what you're trying to do. You could also get an RCA switcher. Connect all or your components (cable box, dvd etc) to the switcher, and an RCA output to the Wave system.

Need a diagram to hook my Bose CinemaT speakers. When I hook it directly to the tv no problem but can't figure out how to hookup my reciever and CD player to work also? Help Please

You'd be better off hooking the speakers to the RECEIVER'S speaker outputs, THEN hooking your TV audio output to an unused receiver input, such as AUX. The signals from your receiver cannot reach the TV; thus your CD player and radio will not play through the speakers if the speakers are hooked to the TV. All receiver INPUTS are designed to accept the same signal level; thus, you can use any input for your TV audio, such as Aux, DVD, CD, etc. Just remember which input you're using for the TV audio, and everything should work fine. Almost all receivers have an AUX input; hopefully yours also has a dedicated CD input to avoid confusion. The you simply select the AUX input to hear your TV through the speakers.

Bose Wave Radio/CD - Sound from only one speaker

Sounds like the audio transformer, but it's difficult to tell because Bose will not release their schematics or parts lists, effectively giving them a monopoly on repair of these sets. On their web site, www.bose.com, they offer to repair most Wave sets for $100 or give $200 credit towards the purchase of a new Wave. Before you spend the big bucks though, you might want to check out the new HD radios. Better sound and MUCH lower prices than the Bose.
