I carefully disconnected the element from the dishwasher and ran the cycle, and it went thru without cutting out.

does this point to the element, or could the solenoid or motor still be the problem...just using process of elimination.

I found the problem - it was the element after all.

It tripped out on the short cycle only once - and up to 5 times on the long cycle.

I bought the element from Ariston in Melbourne for only 65.00 incl GST which was alot cheaper than 115.00 quoted by Nemans on the Gold Coast!.

Sounds like faulty wiring inside unit. your circuit breaker is detecting an overload current condition...must look inside for wire touching frame. if none found, then wire fault may be inside of a device like motor or solenoid, so check these with ohmeter to ground-each wire (except chassis gnd) must be isolated from ground.

How long does a normal cycle take on the following Kitchenaid diswasher. KUD102CRWH1 Mine takes hours. Is this normal?

If the normal cycle is taken hours then the water temperature is not correct. If you have inlet hot water connection, then check the water temperature. If using cold water then the thermostat or heater in the dishwasher is faulty.

Look for items 7 and 12 in this diagram.

Ariston LS 2020 dishwasher is tripping mains switch at several points of washing cycles. What's wrong with it?

It probably uses more electrisity than there is avaliable at peak preformance. It is safer to contact an electrician to have him measure the use of electrisity and why there is this sudden use.

Ariston LS 2020 taking more than two hours to go through cycle.

Ariston and on and

The water temp thermostat is to blame or the water is not heating.Basically what happens is the washer fills with cold water and starts to wash and heat at the same time.Once the water reaches a certain temperature it moves onto the next stage of the wash program. If the water is not heating or the thermostat is not working the programmer wont get the signal to move on.Hope this helps.

Kud101 diswasher heater element

The dishwasher will heat the water to a temp of aprox 140deg if the heater is not working then the dishwasher will not shut off because it has to heat the water to a point where a thermostat will close during the heating time the dishwasher time stops advancing, also heater is used to heat the air for dry cycle

Ariston diswasher trips out as soon as door closed

hi On many dishwashers, the latch engages a switch to activate the timer and other control components. If the latch is not completely engaged or if the switch is faulty, the machine will not operate. Here's how to test and repair a door switch:

Step 1: Latch the door and hold the latch tightly in the closed position. This works best on a unit with a lever-type latch. Then turn the control to the ON position. If the unit works, the problem is probably a misaligned lock unit. Adjust the lock unit with a screwdriver. If this doesn't solve the problem, the switch may be faulty.

Step 2: Test the switch with a volt-ohm-milliammeter (VOM) set to the RX1 scale. Remove the panel covering the door switch and remove one of the electrical lead wires of the switch from its terminals. Clip one probe of the VOM to each switch terminal and shut the dishwasher's door. If the meter reads zero, the switch is working. If the meter reads higher than zero, the switch is faulty and should be replaced.

Step 3: Replace the switch with a new one of the same type. Connect the new switch the same way the old one was connected.

Dishwasher made clicking sound, then CL light, now nuthin'

I had a similar problem. After a $90 service call I was told it was the main electronic panel. The panel costs $180 and installation is $70. No Frigidaire is worth that. You, like I, should buy a new non-Frigidaire.

Odor 2 days after cycle

After you have unloaded the the dishwasher, prop the door open with the upper rack out.
Let the inside air out. After a short time the remaining moisture will evaporate. Stainless steel dishwashers are prone to an odor if you do not use the machine daily. There are after market products that are citrus based that will help. Check with Bosch.
