a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The reason the cd recovery did not work is that it was made for some other HP model.
On the unit you are trying to recover, reboot the computer and press F10 . several times. You should see a recovery menu. Select the type of recovery that will format and recover the unit to OEM defaults.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

SOURCE: my asus eee pc keeps
The error 0x0000007b is labeled INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE which means that the bootloader can't load the kernel - the core of the OS. Since you have tried a repair (which should have eliminated all soft errors) then it's clearly a hardware fault: the hard disk is defective
The only way to fix that is to replace the hard disk (a similar one will cost you around $80) and reinstall XP.
