SOURCE: Honda 5.5 hp air comp. no spark wont run

Most honda engines have an oil sensor that prevents the engine from starting if the oil level is low or oil is dirty. Test coil by disconnecting oil sensor wire. With sensor disconnected coil should fire. If still no fire, check kill wire for short. If still no spark, coil may need to be replaced. enjoy

SOURCE: Ingersol T30 won't shut off and blows pressure release valve

the wire juction box on your compressor has a pressure switch that may be wound in to tight take the cover off the box there should be a switch with a machine screw with nut and washer and spring back this nut off and see if that helps if you go to far you just crank it back in until the switch hit although it may be the other way around you may have to tighten to lower the pressure some of them are made that way if this does not solve your problem send me a picture of the switch and can solve it from there

Low oil pressure. Are you adding a lot of oil. Have you check the oil level. Switch could also be bad.

My 15 HP Ingersoll Rand Air Compressor doesn't start at times due to some load. Heard that there is some air getting caught in the Piston Head post its cut off point and hence there is too much

These pumps have unloaders to help the motor from being overloaded at startup, one type is centrifugal that is built to work off the crank, the other can be a pressure release valve that is set up to release the pressure in the chamber after it shuts down after full pump up. This is typically head as air escaping right after the compressor stops running after a complete fill.

Here is more information on the pressure release unloader.

Hello. I have a Ingersoll Rand air compressor, model 2475. I was wondering if there was a way to adjust the pressure gauge to create a larger differential. It is currently running between 150 and 160...

You can adjust almost all pressure switches

Compressors,Well Pumps,etc

Take off the cover & there should be a screw
to do just what you want to do,lower the cut out
pressure

Good idea, as the compressor will last many years
longer, the less it runs

Ingersoll Rand type 2475 - The piston has seized on the crank - how do we remove

if it is seized the connecting rod to the crank u will probly have to cut it with a torch or grinder. be carful not to start a fire with the oil. if u cut the rod u may be able to salvage the crank and have a mechine shop turn it down then replace the piston and rod. but it may be scrap if u seized the connecting rod to the piston the u may be able to cut the piston pin but thats a tight spot u will probly need to cut the connecting rod to remove the piston and crank but like i said be carful u dont start a fire with the oil. . you may be able to get them loosed up a little if warm it up a little then u can work it back and forth to get it out. hope this helps good luck

I am changing from 460 V to 230 V on a Ingersol Rand Compressor motor # 32036006 and I cant get it to start it turns real slow is this supposed to have some sort of a motor starter capicitor set up ?

Recheck the way you have the motor leads hooked up, make sure they are correct. You did re connect the motor leads didnt you? You are not trying to run it on 230v single phase are you? Assuming it is a dual voltage motor, the leads will have to be re connected from hi voltage to lo voltage. Also when you cut the operating voltage in half the operating current(amps ) will double, all this info should be on the motor name plate. This motor does not use a capicitor to start it
