Maybe not a solution but we have a kick-but black and decker service center in Austin TX. There may be one near you; they often give you a comparable product if you bring in a broken b & d product; I've always been satisfied, even if out of warrantee sometimes!
Miracle Maid Instruction booklets can be found on ebay. I've seen them several times, in fact there are several on today 7/29/2009. Just go to ebay.com and search for Miracle Maid. You may have to search daily, but you'll find them. You'll have to pay a little, but you can send in all your pots and pans and get replacements with one of those books. I had my pots and pans for 30+ years and now I have the new ones that replaced those. I'm thinking they will last 30 years too! Good Luck!
