get wire ring terminals of appropriate size for your power wire, and attach it directly to the battery post. what kind of car do u have, GM cars' batteries use a different kind of post that makes it harder to hook up power wires

Go by auto parts store and buy a terminal for the battery, but will have to be the same size for the wire size. add a in line fuse should be 20 amps larger than the one on your amp.

check your remote turn on wire that goes between your neg. post and pos. post good should be a 12v wire that hooks to cd player for a turn on and off applcation if you wire direct the amp will not turn off and drain your batter dead or tuggle if you like

I was given a subwoofer and box but do not know where to go from here in terms of hooking it up in my car. It is a Rockford fosgate punch p112s4.

First youll need an amp. Depending on what size the sub is a 500 watt rms amp can hold up to about a 300 watt kicker. If your looking for something bigger u can get a 1000 watt amp and hook up two 300 watt kickers. To hook up the amp youll need a car amp power cable, power control cable, speaker wire, amd a car amp ground wire. They usually sell kits that run aboyt 40 bucks. The power cable goes to the batter as well as the ground cable. The power control cable goes to the back of the head unit. (You will kost likely need a more modern headunit if urs is stock). Once this is done put the sub in the box (i recomend super glue because metal nails take away from the bass). Put the speaker wire to the speaker positive on left negative on right. Same with the amp. And now ur bumpin ;)

Im trying to hook up my subs to this headunit but i cant get the power from it to the amp. The amp is good and the subs are good

have you got a wiring kit for the amp? the amp needs atleast an 8 guage tho id suggest a 4 guage running from the batter to the amp with a 50 to 80 amp fuse atleast, then it needs to be ground to the chassis. a remote wire then needs to be run from the back of the headunit so that the amp only turns on when the ignition is on, then hook the wires from the amp to the sub.

I am trying to install a van radio. When I hook

If it"s an aftermarket radio, orange wires often aren't used, (it's usually for dimming) try it without connecting the orange wire, but be sure not to leave the wire exposed.

No power

Do you have the manual. I have the same model installed on my BMW 1100RT motorcycle and it requires two power hookups. One senses the ignition is turned on and the other is the power up from power source. If the ignition power wire isn't connected, the unit will not powerup. You can however, connect both of these power wires to bypass the ignition switch. This ignition switch is used so you don't kill your batter by accident. I'm sure that wouldn't be good on a boat. Good luck!

Power Never Comes on

that remote wire has to be hooked up to the power or the radio power antenna wire which will switch the remote wire on when the radio is turned on, so that remote wire really should be hooked to the radio wire that gets power when the radio is turned on , thats why the sub is not turning on
