SOURCE: Brewer pushing water back into reservoir

I had the same problem, contacted Keurig and they suggested the descale procedure, which did not work. I was able to resolve the problem however.
First I went through a gallon of white vinegar, without results. Then I did the following:
Went to Walmart and bought "Brew Rite". Tried 8 cup mixture (8 cups of water, two tablespoons of mix), did not work. Being persistant, put in another 8 cups, let sit 2 hours and then put in clear water. By the time I got half way through with the clear water, the device started working properly, no problems since.

Adjust water level. electric control turns off early.

It may need de-scaling. When my Keurig did what yours is doing, I filled the reservoir 3/4 way with white vinegar, and ran the machine repeatedly until it all passed through. I then re-used that vinegar and did the whole pass through 3 more times. that cleared it up. Did that 9 months ago. Use: 6 cups/day.
One other source of this problem are the metal pieces that punctures the top and bottom of the K-cup. Coffee grinds can find their way in there, and can be cleaned out with a paper clip or mini-pipe cleaner. But clogging of the bottom puncturer usually results in overflow, unless the top is also blocked.
Good Luck

Trying to de-scale. where do i find the needles - keurig

Ports are the needles that puncture the Kcups, one at the top and theother at the bottom. Clean as per the manual instructions.

I recently bought the latest model of keruig and after only a month it barely drips now. the water only dribbles out. I am not sure what to do.

Hello, W/D here.

Take an ordinary paper clip, and bend (unbend) it into an "L" shape. Use the end that is about 1" long to pass up into the K-cup puncture needle, and down into the outlet needle. Grounds can migrate in both directions, and this may be the problem. If this does not correct the problem, go through the de-scaling procedure, and clean the needles again after the de-scaling process has finished.

I hvae tried to de scale my Keurig B70 Platinum coffeee maker with no success. I am trying again, however, the water drips out at each cycle yielding about an 1/4 tsp of water. It is taking forever and I...

Hi,

Try clearing the needles that puncture the K-cups. Take an ordinary paper clip (or similar), and bend it into an "L" with about 1" available to pass up into the needle, and down into the other needle. Sometimes grounds can get in the needles, as well as the material released as a result of descaling.

Water is getting to the k-cup but does not come out unless I take the cup out and turn it around and puncture a second time. clear water runs through with no problem

Hi, W/D here.

Take an ordinary paper clip, and straighten it into an "L", with about 1" on the short side. With the Keurig opened as it would be for inserting a K-cup, locate the upper and lower puncture needles. Take the paper clip and use it to pass into the hollow needles to free up any debris that may have collected in the needles. Be careful, as the needle tips are very sharp. Do the lower needle as well. This should improve the quality of your brew.
Another thing that will help is to de-scale the machine with white vinegar. This is done by emptying the reservoir, and re-filling about half way with white vinegar. Then, brew two cups, which will draw the vinegar into the inner pot. Let the vinegar sit in the machine for several hours, and then empty the reservoir. Refill with clean water, and flush the water through the machine, one cup at a time, until no traces of the vinegar can be detected. This will keep your machine brewing at it's peak performance. Most folks perform this cleaning every six months or so, but you really need to do it according to the quality of your water, that is, use six months as a maximum, and more often if necessary.
Hope this gets your coffee back to just right. I KNOW how important that is!
Best regards, --W/D--

Foul-smelling coffee

you may need to run white vinegar thru the unit... and dont be in a rush to get the vinegar out of it... let the vinegar work...
If you suspect bacteria, then mild bleach water... and dont be bashful about the quantity... allways filter the water and consider using bleachwater to clean the needles that puncture the kcups....

I have the Keurig Gourmet Deluxe Home Brewing System #B60 When the pod is in place with the cover down the water won't come out while brewing. It will not make a brewed cup of coffee. If I remove the pod...

Check that pod has a punctured hole on BOTH ends.. If the bottom or to wear not punctured this will happen with most Keurigs.
Replace the pod holder if defective.

Stops brewing part way through

Either the Keurig needs to cleaned out from coffee grounds clogging the pic (see top of the machine)...use a thin wire to un-clog the top piercing needle..or the unit needs to be de-scaled....Use De-scale to dissolve in water and run through machine. Finally, and sadly, the unit air pump is out. If so, return to place of purchase or call Keurig or Crystal Pure to sell as salvage or get another machine.
