On inserting a video cassette it is immediately rejected & gives an error code E4. Have you got any solutions please
Sometimes things like that are caused by the mode switch which will either need to be cleaned or replaced. It's worth looking inside for damage inside the unit. Pay close attention to plastic parts.

I'ts likely that the record sensor that pushes on the tab on the tape is bent or broken. Making the VCR think you are trying to record on to a protected tape.
