I keep on getting domain error when calculating inverse normal with aera: .025 mean: 1 and standard deviation: 0 on my TI 89

This is to be expected. A standard deviation of 0 means that all the data points are identical. Asking for the point below which .025 of the data lie is meaningless.

What is the meaning of the error message "invalid axes"

This is problem with graphing differential equation. Invalid Axes error occurs if Axes=TIME or if t(time) is set as a CUSTOM axis. This is important to noticed: if Fields=DIRFLD you cannot plot a time axis. See captured image

TI 89 error memory when solving simple functions

Hello,
Simple is a relative complex. What do you mean by solving a function?. Usually you solve equation to find particular values of an unknown, and you draw function to see what it looks like over a range of values.

Take a simple function: y =x. If you draw it with a step of 10^(-6) you will run into memory problems.

I suggest you clear the memory of your calculator and, if you are running a program that misbehaves you should correct the programming errors.

Hope it helps.

Abs( and square roots

The missing error means that you did not close the parenthesis. When you use a square root or absolute value it always gives you the left parenthesis, (, but you need to close it with a right parenthesis, )

Domain error

It's the "Exact/Approx" setting under the [MODE] key. I used to have it on "Exact" and got the domain error issue, but then changed it to "Auto" and it works. IMO, this is a really weird quirk that TI should have ironed out before releasing the TI-89.

Dec to hex conversion

Not sure if TI-89 mode keys are the same, but here's the solution for that calculator:
1. Hit the mode key
2. Hit F3 to get tot Exact/Approx (might be different for 89T).
3. Set it to Exact.
4. Take a look at T-89 manual pages 327, 328, 329.
Nice of TI to NOT include that in the manual, huh?
