Less $$ to replace the laptop after you figure in the cost of the motherboard + labor to have it installed.

Hi,
Welcome to FixYa! Since you already purchased a nwe AC adapter and still the same, theres a possibility that the problem is with the DC port on the laptop itself or the Motherboard. In that case, you will need to replaced the base cover if its the DC port or if its the MOBO, the motherboard is need to be replaced. You can contact Lenovo for that, if the system is still under warranty or you purchased an extended warranty, they will be able to send the laptop to depot for free. If the system is not under warranty anymore, the process from Lenovo is you will need to pay an $80 non refundable qoutation fee, that is for the diagnostics of their technician and for the one time shipping. You will send the laptop to their depot which is in Texas by your own expense. Once they verify the exact problem, someone will call you to provide you the information on how much is the total cost, but the $80 that you initially paid will be deducted from the final charge. The phone no for Lenovo is 1-877-453-6686,press option 2 on all the voice prompts.
Hope this information will help. Thank you for using FixYa!
The battery might be nearing the end of it's useful life and needs to be replaced. The battery only lasts for so long then it has to be replaced.
Buy a battery on ebay base on your computer's Make and model, not the model of the battery.
