Test it on a different socket, and ensure that the cube audio cable at the back is properly connected.

Read the first pages of the user manual to find connections diagrams and instructions.

If the unit does not start at all, then it is defective. In that case have it replaced.

The subwoofer by DT ProCinema 600 doesn't work

I had the same problem when I wanted to swap my PCicon1.png 1000 for the PC 2000. The later interfered with my view on the tv. What I did was raise the tv on a couple of pieces of MDF. I painted the edges of the MDF to match the tv stand. Looks great - is very solid as far as support for the tv - and allowed me to get the PC 2000smile.gif

The sub on the left speaker don t play and the light went off but the mid and tweeter have sound coming out

The amplifier that drives the built in subwoofer has stopped working. The first thing to do is check that the power cord is plugged in to a live power outlet. Next, replace the fuse which you'll find on the large black metal plate on the back of the speaker. Use only the size and type fuse specified. If that does not work contact Definitive customer service at (800) 228-7148.

First please confirm when did you purchased this Active sub., This sub system is having 5years warrantee on Speaker and 3year on Amplifier. Hence, if you are the due date please give it for free checkup and replacement for parts.

Definitive Pro-Sub 1000 subwoofer replacement fuse.

Fit a 3 or 2.5 anything lower, if you can get away with it, but nothing higher.
However the chances are that it blew due to an overload, often caused by a shorted semi-conductor acting like it was a piece of wire. So even fitting a smaller one and it blowing again doesn't mean it's due to the rating.

It comes on but no base sound and wont turn up

You have to fill in the details about what you're feeding it (the source and how IT's set up). It won't just >>create<< bass.

From the manual:

If you used the high-level (speaker) inputs and there
is no sound from any of the speakers:
• Check that receiver/amplifier is on and a source is playing.
• Check that powered subwoofer is plugged into an active electrical outlet and is switched on.
• Check all wires and connections between
receiver/amplifier and speakers. Make sure all wires
are connected. Make sure none of the speaker wires are
frayed, cut or punctured.
• Review proper operation of your receiver/amplifier.

If there is low (or no) bass output:
• Make sure the connections to the left and right “Speaker
Inputs” have the correct polarity (+ and –).
• Make sure that the subwoofer is plugged into an active electrical outlet and switched on.
• Adjust the crossover point.
• Flip the Phase Control switch to the opposite position.
• If you are using a Dolby Digital/DTS receiver or processor, make sure that the subwoofer adjustments on the receiver/processor are set up correctly.
• Slowly turn the Level Control clockwise until you begin to hear the desired amount of bass.

If you used the line-level inputs and there is no sound
from the subwoofer:
• Check that receiver/amplifier is on and a source is playing.
• Check that powered subwoofer is plugged into an active electrical outlet and is switched on.
• Check all wires and connections between receiver/amplifier and subwoofer. Make sure all wires are connected. Make sure none
of the wires are frayed, cut or punctured.
• Review proper operation of your receiver/amplifier.
• Slowly turn the Level Control clockwise until you begin to hear the desired amount of bass.
• Make sure that you have configured your receiver/processor so that the subwoofer/LFE output is on.

Looking for manual for Definitive Subwoofer III

Try changing the electrolytic's condensers of the power supply board.

Those subwoofers often stay on stand-by power since you first connect them to your system and the condensers gets tired they overheat and deplete their liquid on the board.

They change value and don't do their job anymore!

P.S.:You have to be a technician to try that.

Prove it's alive by feeding it the signal from any other source, like Left or Right Tape Out. Use FM as the source to keep things simple. Then we can move forward with analyzing the correct failing unit.
