Pricing for a used tv

I would like to buy a new smaller flat screen tv but I need to sell the current one to do so

I cannot find my receipt but remember it to be very expensive
Can you tell me what a
PT 53TW53G 2003 Panasonic sold for back then I realize there would be some depreciation but it works fine and is in good condition and if I sell it I can get a new one

Always price it higher then you want so you can come down ,CK your local adds see what new ones are going for Some sold out for as little as $799.00 Alot depends on where you are and if money is plenty which now days its hard to come by.

NEED TO REPLACE DISPLAY PANEL

toshiba will sell you a new one at about 800 dollars (worked at best buy and tha was the price for a 42 in screen) the best bet is to either take it to a local tv repair shop or buy a new tv at that price. new egg and tigerdirect.com have that model for about 800 dollars alone

52" LCD FLAT PANEL TV SCREEN IS CRACKED WARRANTY

Hi,

The no BS answer would be that's it's going to cost you marginally less than the TV did originally. I can't give you an exact price as it depends on which panel is in the TV and whether you intend to replace it yourself or have it professionally repaired. Philips 52" LCDs range from maybe US$800 to $2000, so it really depends on which model you have.

If you want to post back with those details I can get a more accurate price for you.

Cracked screens aren't covered by the warranty, but there are several options available to you:

1. Try to claim on your insurance if you have accidental damage cover included in your policy or pay extra for it.
2. Replace the TV and sell the other one off for parts. This will probably save you a few hundred dollars on the price of just buying the screen. It's fairly easy to sell them on eBay.
3. Buy a used panel or faulty TV from the same or similar model. Again, eBay is a good source for these and will save you a fair bit.

I'd suggest insurance is the best option here if you can take that route, I'm more than happy to look into the price of a brand new screen for you and also investigate the costs of options 2 and 3 but I will need to know the model number to do so.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
BElectric

I bought a Sony BRAVIA KDL-52XBR6 LCD TV and 3 weeks later I broke the screen by accident, would you please let me know where can I buy a replacement screen? and how much it coast? or how much I can sell...

The screen cost more than the entire TV, better to get a new TV instead. You can try posting an add on Ebay to sell it for parts... Also you can try calling local repair shops in your area see if they may have a used LCD panel for your TV at a reasonable price.

My sony bravia kdl-52xbr4 has a chip in it . looks like a little pellet hit the screen. how much will it cost to replace that screen?

Sadly, a replacement screen itself would cost more than the TV is worth.

Here are a couple of web sites selling the replacement screen:

http://www.partstore.com/GetModel.aspx?MfgName=Sony&BrandName=Sony&ModelNumber=KDL52XBR4&SearchTerm=True&Page=1&SortBy=price&SortDirection=desc#PartsearchSKUList

http://www.encompassparts.com/products/?1-802-490-31

http://www.encompassparts.com/products/?1-802-490-32

I know it seems like a crazy price. But, TV manufactures buy a mass quantity at a lower price. Where buying just one screen panel cost an arm and a leg. Buying a new TV is the best choice money wise.

Cracked screen

Unfortunately if the screen is cracked the only remedy is to have it replaced which will be expensive, therefore it might be worth considering a new TV

Broken LCD TV Screen

Hi james daum,
Unfortunatly usually the price for the LCD panel cost more than buying a new tv. I would not throw it out though. You have a couple of options.
  1. Buy a non-working same model tv with a good screen and swap the internals over. You can sometimes find them on Ebay.
  2. Sell it as non-working on Ebay or like auction site.
  3. Try to find a used screen at a decent price. You may try ShopJimmy.com
Let me know if I can assist further and please rate this solution. Lone99star

Has anyone had problems with connecting an 'HDMI to HDMI + SPDIF + RCA L / R Audio Extractor Converter (HDMI input,HDMI+ Audio output)' to a Panasonic PT-53TW53? I have a TiVo Premiere hooked up to my Panasonic PT-53TW53. I use the HDMI out, and RCA R+L outputs on the TiVo, and hook up to the digital in connections on the TV. The conversion of the HDMI out is via an HDMI to DVI cable. This has worked perfectly for years, but recently I wanted to disconnect the TiVo and replace with my Roku or Amazon Fire TV. Both have a single HDMI output. So I purchased an AGPtek HDMI to HDMI + SPDIF + RCA L / R Audio Extractor Converter (HDMI input, HDMI+ Audio output) box, hooking up the HDMI output from the Roku or Fire TV to the input on the extractor/converter, and simply disconnecting the HDMI to DVI and RCA R+L outputs from the TiVo, and plugging them into the outputs on the converter/extractor. The converter/extractor has a 3 position switch: PASS, 2CH audio, or 5.1CH (via and SPDIF or Toslink cable). I have had 2 of these converter/extractors, and with both the Roku and Fire TV I got the same results with both converter/extractors: With the switch on 2CH, which is where I understand I should get HDMI video and 2CH RCA audio, all I get is the RCA audio. No video. If I switch to PASS I get video with no audio. Of course on the 5.1 setting I get nothing, since the TV does not support SPDIF. Yet I see reviews all over Amazon indicating folks are using this converter/extractor for this very purpose, and it is working fine. I can't possibly imagine that it is some sort of incompatibility issue with the TV, since the TiVo has worked (and continues to) fine for years. Any ideas?
