Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I have a Sony DAV-IS50 Home Theatre system which I have configured as per the user manual to run with my Sony KDL-40X3000 TV with an optical audio connection and HDMI connection between the two. However when I switch them off using the HDMI connection from the TV end I get random behaviour including:
Upon switch on the TV displays a message; “speaker setting is audio system”. After a delay of 30 or so seconds the TV then displays the further message; “TV speaker active due to audio system communications failure”. In this state highly echoed sound is delivered from both the DAV-IS50 and the TV speakers simultaneously. This state can only be reset by sequencing the DAV-IS50 input selector through the other options back to “TV”. or Upon switching-on the TV the DAV-IS50 fails to switch on, or in one in five occasions the whole system TV + DAV-IS50 start-up together and operate correctly.
Do you consider the unit to have a fault?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
