Question about iRiver iFP-899 MP3 Player
Was listening to the player and it just shut off. changed battery
but it would not come on. No Screen or anything. I have
some voice recordings of my late Father in there. Is it possible
to retrieve them?
Steve, Mine did this and I was able to get it working again by taking out the 3 tiny screws holding the case together. In my case, I had tiny grains of sand from the beach, which were probably had salt on them and were probably drawing moisture to the board and shorting components. I brushed it off carefully with a paint brush, blew it out as best I could, and generally cleaned the parts. Eventually, it came back to life! and continues to play today. Good luck with yours!
