    Hiya rebelyes!
You are not going to believe what I just found out! I had already done exactly that.. I spent all day yesterday uninstalling any and everything to do with either the trial version and the purchased version. (yes i still had the disc and authentication key) I even went online to trial another version but the same thing still kept happening.
Then out of sheer frustration I kept reading a blog about changing some of the registry key values, eg Data to olddata and Addins to oldAddins etc. Still didn't work.
Finally an absolute miracle happened and I kept reading where some teeny tiny post on the same web blog page had said, its nothing to do with registry or corrupt files or anything. Its your printer. Check to see which printer is being used at the time you open up your documents. And bingo! I have a scrapbooking company and have a tiny portable printer that I take to the classes that I teach. It only prints 2" pictures, and therefore was not being recognised by the Office program.
OMG what a drama... 11 hours of torture but a lesson well learned.
Thanks so much for your kindness in answering my question. Please note that one down so others may benefit from it too.
    cheers,
    tracey

Okay i bought an acer laptop and it has microsoft word on it. But after so many tries you have to enter the product key. I did this which is located under my computer. I typed it in but it keeps saying...

That's is not the key they are asking for.

They are asking for the product key that you receive once you pay for the full version. I assume that you have a trial period. Did you see where it says 'obtain product key'? You will need to purchase the full version (the key) to unlock this program and all of it's features..

Alternatively, if you are looking for a free reputable program that is exactly like Word, try www.openoffice.org. It is a program that I use every day. It operates almost 99% just like Word. They also have the other applications such as an excel program and even a powerpoint application.

You will love it if you do not wish to purchase the key.

I have been using emachine laptop with microsoft office home and student on it.i cannot work on it because it keeps asking for product key.the one i have on the laptop is not working.please help.

The product key is basically a license / receipt that tells Microsoft you paid for the software.

So you can try tracking one down by searching the web ;)

OR you can download a trail version of Office 2010 which will allow you to use office for 30 days (usually)

Or you can use Open Office which is an open source aka FREE version of office. It's similar and not as flashy but it gets the job done.

Here's a link to Open Office.

Hope this info helps.

I WANT PRODUCT KEY FOR VISTA WINDOW HOME BASIC TO OPEN ALL THE COMPONENTS OF MICROSOFT OFFICE 2007 PLEASE HELP ME TO SOUGHT OUT MY THESE PROBLEM....... I SHALL BE THANKFUL TO YOU.......

If you purchased Microsoft Office 2007 at a "retail" store, you should have received a 25-character product-code.

If you made an online purchase, check your E-mail; the product-key will have been E-mailed to you.

If you recently bought a new computer, it may have had a "trial" version pre-installed.
After the "trial" period ends, follow the on-screen instructions to purchase a product-key from Microsoft.

Could not find product key for office home and student 2007

If you recently purchased a new computer, a "trial" version of Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 was installed.

After the trial-period ends (30 days? 60 days? 30 usages?) you must either purchase a "full" license-key, either at any retail store or online, or you can uninstall the software, and then
download and install FREE "office productivity" software, from: http://www.OpenOffice.org
which imitates Word & Excel & PowerPoint.

Please my laptop is blocked and its demanding for product key.the one on the stcker of my laptop is not working.please i need a new product key.

The product-key is for the version of Microsoft Windows that was pre-installed.

Are you trying to open Microsoft Word or Excel or PowerPoint ?
If the installed version is a "30-day-trial" version, then you need to purchase a license-key, after the 30 days, if you wish to continue to use Microsoft Office. Purchase the key online from Microsoft, or at any retail computer-store.

I need the free permenent product key for my laptop type aspier 4736g,because always i open my microsoft word exel it request

Your computer probably came with a "30-day-free-trial" version of Microsoft Excel. So, after the 30 days, you have to PURCHASE a permanent product-key, if you want to keep using the software.

Remember, you clicked "I agree" the first time that you opened Excel, namely agreeing to accept the 30-day trial-period.

Or, uninstall Microsoft Office, and download *FREE* office-productivity software from http://www.openoffice.org
This software can read/write your existing Excel documents.

Windows Vista Problem

To Update Windows Vista you need to use Windows Update which is located in the control panel. Once you have open windows update click Check for updates and then click view option updates. You should then see Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack 1 in the list. Download and install this Service Pack and see if this correct the problem
