Question about Dell Inspiron 6400 Notebook
Hi everyone,i have got a problem with my dell laptop (1525 inspiron) someone sort of disabled my audio output device system and im not really good with computers, so was just wondering if anyone had any advice on enabling the sound devices back on or any other advice will be really apreciated , thanks
Hi, this is firstname.lastname@example.org. I recently bought a laptop Latitude 110l, I have had to reformat everything ,my only problem now is there is no sound. Ihave tried everything I can and when I go thru the audio chart it tells me that everything is good , and yet still no sound. I have even tried Dell.com_ drivers downloads no luck.
Is there any one out there that might be able to help me ? Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe your audio device is muted by the function key of your dell.
If you look on your keyboard you should see a blue FN key.
Function key. Then if you look further on other keys you should see a speaker key louder and lower and even a mute key(the one with a cross).
If you press the FN Key and keep it pressed then the louder key(i think it's the up key) do you see a something changing in windows or in your screen like going louder. if not pres Function key keep it pressed and hit the key with the speaker mute(the one with a cross). You should see something changing.
If it's correct you should see a speaker with green bows next to the clock. then you can try if its work.
If the speaker is not showing up anytime you press one of those keys you have a problem with the driver or the hardware.
First look these and then we see further.

First place to look is the systray... lower right corner of your screen... see the lil speaker icon... open that and see if you can emable it from there... if not i'll explain how to get to the task manager.
