Hi, this is rafter4w@yahoo.com. I recently bought a laptop Latitude 110l, I have had to reformat everything ,my only problem now is there is no sound. Ihave tried everything I can and when I go thru the audio chart it tells me that everything is good , and yet still no sound. I have even tried Dell.com_ drivers downloads no luck.
Is there any one out there that might be able to help me ? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Roy

Maybe your audio device is muted by the function key of your dell.

If you look on your keyboard you should see a blue FN key.
Function key. Then if you look further on other keys you should see a speaker key louder and lower and even a mute key(the one with a cross).

If you press the FN Key and keep it pressed then the louder key(i think it's the up key) do you see a something changing in windows or in your screen like going louder. if not pres Function key keep it pressed and hit the key with the speaker mute(the one with a cross). You should see something changing.

If it's correct you should see a speaker with green bows next to the clock. then you can try if its work.

If the speaker is not showing up anytime you press one of those keys you have a problem with the driver or the hardware.

First look these and then we see further.

good luck.

About what playback menu are you talking?

Windows Media player? or another program.

You mean you can't find the audio files or how to play a cd or dvd?

First place to look is the systray... lower right corner of your screen... see the lil speaker icon... open that and see if you can emable it from there... if not i'll explain how to get to the task manager.

go to the start menu... in that box... type in device manager... look in there particularly around sound devices ... and yellow exclamation marks ?

it should show you a list of devices .... i'm interested in any of the sound devices and whether there are icons on them. if the device has a plus sign beside it... click it to expand the list to see all the items

well that's why i need you to tell me what if any icons are in your device manager next to each sound device... then i can properly advise you on how to fix the issue

Ok ... this will be the quickest way because it also ensures you have the correct driver for your sound.

BH200 Bluetooth with inspiron 1525

Yes,
Ensure that both devices are in discoverable mode.
Now on the computer go into the control panel and click on add a bluetooth device.
A wizard would start and it would guide you through the process. It will also recognize the device and give you the option to enable listening to audio through the bluetooth device. Once confirmed the headset would be configured with the computer

Hi,

If possible could you check output voltage of the charger with a multimeter? If you can get output voltage, then might be something wrong with laptop battery charging circuit. Contact Laptop Repairing Engineer.

Hi...

In this case you need to install the audio driver of your laptop, just load the motherboard cd and it is automatically detected you just click next, next, after all the driver's are installed you need to restart to take effect,

Good luck !!!
