T'Con board should be suspected. Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Click this link. View it in "Timeslide" or "Flipcard" option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. It will make search easy. There are more than 1300 posts to different brand TVs now. Pull up older posts there.

SOURCE: Screen shows several horizontal and vertical lines.

Press the menu on the TV and let me know if the menu is effected. If the Menu if effected , you can try unplugging the power cord for a minute and replugging it back. If the issue still persists , a physical diagnostic is necessary to determine the exact defective part on your device. It could be a problem of main board or even worse, the panel.

SOURCE: In my samsung 40

It could be the power supply causing this problem - puffed caps in the Power Supply and low voltage to the signal board. Have both checked.

SOURCE: I have an Samsung LE52B750 TV that it has

Hello, it sounds like one of the display boards has gone. Its probably not the screen as you wouldnt get any picture at all or very little. Even though it sounds expensive, most of the work is in dismantling the tv. These days its just a matter of replacing a board or two. Get two or more quotes and pick the best one. I hope I have helped.

Vertical 5" wide dark band in middle of screen

A 5" wide dark band in the middle of a Samsung Smart Series 7 TV screen could be caused by several issues. Here are a few potential causes and solutions:
  1. Faulty LCD Panel: If the LCD panel is damaged, it may cause a dark band in the middle of the screen. Unfortunately, a damaged LCD panel usually requires a professional repair or replacement, which can be expensive.
  2. Loose or Damaged Connection: A loose or damaged connection between the TV's internal components could cause a dark band on the screen. Check all of the cables and connections between the TV and any external devices to ensure they are properly connected and undamaged.
  3. Picture Settings: The dark band could be caused by the TV's picture settings. Try adjusting the picture settings to see if it improves the image. For example, you could try adjusting the brightness, contrast, or sharpness.
  4. Software Update: A software issue could cause a dark band on the screen. Check if there is a software update available for your TV and install it if necessary.
  5. Magnetic Interference: If there is a strong magnetic field near the TV, it could cause a dark band on the screen. Try moving any magnets or magnetic devices away from the TV to see if it improves the image.
If none of these solutions work, it may be best to contact a professional TV repair technician who can diagnose and fix the issue. They can ensure that the repair is done correctly and safely, and can help prevent further damage to the TV.

Samsung vertical shadow screen

Does the screen have a double image? or is one side of the screen darker and has a delay? If so, your LCD panel is failing, common problem with older Samsung LCD's. I have the same model in my dining room that had a double image, fixed it by taking the panel apart and applying thermal pads on top of the panel tabs. The set works like a champ to this day!!!

Vertical black bar on my LG 47" LCD shifting the image to the right

Two possibilities are there. The first one is, with loose LVDS cable, that connects the T'Con board to display panel. The second is the fault with its main digital processor board.

That sounds like a defective LCD panel tab, Sony's and Samsungs are notorious for this problem. Does the problem go away when the set warms up or when you tap the screen?

Our Phillips flat screen TV picture is split down the middle vertically. One side shows a mirror image of the other side, and then sometimes one side is a lighter shade than the other, when it is full...

This may be due to a faulty Timing Control board (TCON board). I had a similar problem with my Samsung LCD TV picture being split vertically down the middle. The image on both halves appeared fuzzy and in reverse (mirror) including the menus. I replaced the TCON board and the problem was resolved.

A double horizontal image, divided evenly across the screen

you probably will need to reload the firmware check with maker for any upgraded firmware
just as a computer has a cmos program that can have problems
so does a tv or Lcd monitor with a tuner card and speakers
reload the newest firmware . the resolution scaler is overlaping
unless the two images are different colors
