Hi I have the vivitar vivicam 8025 dont have my manual want to know how to charge my battery

First off, you can download a PDF version of the manual from the manufacturer at: http://www.vivitar.com/files_products/13/VC8025%20User%20Manual.pdf
If you don't have a PDF viewer, you can download one from: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/ (just click download under the free version)
For your convenience I've pasted the relevant information about charging the batteries from the above manual:
Please charge the battery as below 2 methods: A. Charge with USB cable Insert the lithium battery into your camera correctly, and connect your camera to computer with USB cable. The red LED of camera will be light on indicating that your camera is in charging status, the LED willbe off when charge full.
B. Charge with supplied charger Your camera is supplied a compatible charger for you, you are only required to put the battery into charger and charge the lithium battery directly from electrical outlet

Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

Camera not charging with charger

It's unlikely that the charger burned out from being connected to the camera with no battery.

Try taking the battery out of the camera again, and carefully putting it in, again. Make sure the camera will turn on, to check that the battery is well seated.

Then connect the proper charger. If there are still no lights, try plugging the charger into a different outlet that you know is good. If it still doesn't work, it's probably bad. If you must have a camera tomorrow, start calling friends to ask if you can borrow theirs. You can get another charger later.

If you have a tech-oriented friend with a voltmeter, they can help you more...

thanks.

How do I recharge my battery in my 8025 camera.? Thanks, Flo

There are two ways you can recharge the 8025's battery. One is to use the supplied charger. Remove the battery from the camera, put it into the charger, and plug the charger into a wall outlet. The second is to connect the camera to a powered USB port using the supplied cable. Be aware that not all computer USB ports put out sufficient current to charge batteries.

I dont know how to charge my camera everyone says since there are batteries you dont charge it but it keeps saying low battery

There are two ways you can charge the battery in the ViviCam 8025. One way is to use the supplied USB cord to connect the camera to a powered USB port in a computer or a USB power device that plugs into a wall outlet or a car cigarette lighter. The other way is to remove the battery from the camera and put it into the supplied battery charger, and plug the charger into a wall outlet.

It's all on page 7 of the manual. If you've misplaced your manual, you can download it at

I plugged my camera into my computer with the usb cord and its completely died. its not charging what do i do????

The camera does not charge via the USB connection. Connecting the camera to the computer drains the battery faster, as the camera has to communicate with the computer (even if only to say it has nothing to say). To charge the battery, take it out of the camera, put it into the supplied charger, and plug the charger into a wall outlet.

My nikon coolpix S220 wont charge. I had to buy another USB connector because my son lost his and it does not seem to recognize the camera at all and will not charge

The camera does not contain any charging circuitry and will not charge the battery when connected via the USB cable. In fact connecting via USB actually drains the battery faster because the camera has to communicate with the computer (even if only to say it has nothing to say).

The camera comes with a separate MH-63 charger. Take the battery out of the camera, put it into the charger, and plug the charger into a wall outlet. Once the battery is charged, you can put it into the camera and try connecting it to the computer.

Better yet, don't connect it to the computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

How do i charge my camera so that i can explore

You can charge the battery in two ways.

Use the supplied battery charger. Remove the battery from the camera, put it into the charger, and plug the charger into a power outlet.

Connect the camera via a USB cord to a powered USB outlet. Be aware that not all computer USB ports put out enough current to charge the battery. You might want to consider a cell phone charger that plugs into a power outlet.

How do I charge the battery

From page 7 of the manual, you have two choices.

You can charge the battery with the USB cable, connecting the camera to a computer. Bear in mind that not all USB ports put out enough current to charge a battery.

You can use the supplied battery charger. Put the battery in the charger and plug the charger into a wall outlet.

My nikon coolpix s230 won't charge, it's connected to the computer, but it's not doing anything.

Connecting the S230 to a computer does not charge the camera; instead it drains the battery as the camera communicates with the computer. You need to take the battery out of the camera, put it into the supplied charger, and plug the charger into a wall outlet.

The manual says "your camera comes with a compatible charger, your only required to put the battery into the charger and charge the lithium battery directly from the outlet" The camera came with an AC...

You put the battery into the camera. Put the USB end from your computer cord into the end of the AC adapter hook it up to your camera. Ta-da! Everything should be working smoothly in the battery/charger department. :)
