Question about Addonics FlexPort 42 (AEFLEX42) Parallel / Serial Adapter

1 Answer

Need pinout for octopus cable

Or since it has 2 larger parallel tentacles, and a number of smaller serial legs, should I call it a squid cable? Anyway, I just got a used Quickpath 4ser2par card, which I believe to be identical in form and function to the Flexport. I have all the parts to build my own cable, if I can get the pinout data. Thanks in advance!

How do I make the octopus turkey dogs

These are fairly easy, but you must have a very sharp knife with a thin blade.

Leaving about 2 inches or so on one end of the dog whole, slice it in half lengthwise. Roll it over 90 degrees and repeat so that you have 4 tentacles. Now, here is where you need that sharp, thin-bladed knife; each of your 4 tentacles need to be sliced in half lengthwise. They can be a little difficult, so do this carefully and slowly.

Lay the dog out flat on a microwave safe plate (if you stand it up,heating could cause it to split) and zap it for 30-40 seconds. This can also be done in a steamer until it is heated through. This step will cause the head to plump and the tentacles to curl.

Your octopus is now done, but you need to plate it up in a fun and interesting way. Some ideas are: ramen noodles or thin spaghetti that has been dyed with food coloring (green for seaweed, blue for the ocean), chili or hot dog sauce can be a rocky beach, plop him down on some mac & cheese or baked beans. Little dots of mustard can be eyes. I know these cephalopods have a beak where their tentacles meet, but for a kid's party, a smiley face is just fine.

Hope this helps! Enjoy and have fun!

Find two consecutive even integers such that twice the smaller exceeds the larger by 18.

Let x be first (smaller) integer and y second (larger) integer.
  1. They are consecutive (and even) : y=x+2
  2. Twice the smaller exceeds the larger by 18: 2*x=y+18
  3. Substitute first equation into second: 2x=x+2+18
  4. 2x-x=2+18
  5. x=20
  6. y=x+2=22

These two numbers are 20 and 22.

Octo battle octopus won't spray water out of tentacles

Try by submerging the toy in the kitchen sink or a little pool, then pump the tentacle until the reservoir is drained. Work for me, now the kid is happy. I found this solution in another page and it works.

My HP4600n uses a parallel cable, but when I look at CDW site, that only cabel it appears to use a 36pin, but the paralle connection on this printer is much smaller than 36. Are small size cable around,...

The parallel cable on the HP 4600n is a smaller C style connection not the typical larger B style. If you ar looking for a parallel cable ask for an A-C cable. So far I have not seen a USB adapter for this size. I would suggest using the Ethernet cable if it is a 4600n.

I would like the percentage between these 2 figures 1,130 & 1,058

It depends on which way you want to go.
100*(1,130-1,058)/1,130 gives 6.37% so the smaller number is 6.37% smaller than the larger number.
100*(1,130-1,058)/1,058 gives 6.81, so the larger number is 6.81% larger than the smaller number.

I got this dell inspiron 531 were do you plug your printer into?

If you have a PARALLEL cabled printer, You need the same sized port on your PC.
Most newer PCs no longer have serial ports, as they are antiquated and slow method of communication.

There are adapters however, if you have a smaller SERIAL port.
And ones that are USB - or a combo one like the following....

My 812c (older) has a parallel cable and usb cable. Look for the Mini USB on the back of the printer, and all you would need is a cable like this - TYPE A to TYPE B

Good Luck!

Hello

The pinout is determined by the serial port you are plugged into. Are you using serial port 1 or 2. This is pinout from a standard DB9 PC serial port should get you into SP1.
